  • they play like my dogs!

  • lovely

  • Beautiful!

  • revol148, thanks for taking the time to comment. I agree totally, and I also believe that the phrase "behaving like animals" is in fact a compliment that too few humans can hope to receive.

  • @skisandhorses This tendfold.

  • Utterly beautiful creatures - I can really understand when owners get so broken hearted when their companions die. There is nothing wrong treating animals like humans - in fact I regard it as a sign of both humanity & compassion.

  • Beautiful! Great watching these two together.

  • Why are there depressed people in the world when this video exists?

  • my heart just melted...

  • OMG. You also own Max! My Noah was like Shadow. He just thought it all ought to be fun and everybody ought to get along. You are lucky to have Max now. I hope some day to have another like Noah.

  • Love his vid, and an Afghan personality. Can be So cool, and Soooo Crazy. I was Never at a loss for entertainment, or just contented joy. LOL one was SO unique, he had me praising him While I cursed what he did. Damm, SO many crazy memories. What other dog could Lift his leg on a woman in a Fur coat, and get Thanked because she was heading to a Casino, and it Might bring her Luck....If you made eye contact you HAD to pet him OR he went BALLISTIC!! Kings be that way. Afghan owners are Blessed...

  • so precious

  • Adorable

  • It is a splendid spectacle of love of life. Me also, I have an Afghan hound and I am still not cured his death, three years passed You cannot replace Afghan by another dog, I understand why you chose Max. I wish you beautiful and happy life together.

  • @ratustaupus Merci bien, ratustaupus... J'espere que vous, aussi, trouverez une autre afghan aussi tot que possible. Il est seulement cela qui peut emporter la perte.

  • I have had 6 and miss them all dearly, BUT what great memories from having owned them. Just have to keep getting more till we pass. If there IS a Rainbow Bridge, I'm set for eternity.))) Can you imagine Eternal Afghans???

  • too funny.. Must have been a joy..

  • the music just fits this video perfectly!

makes me smile to see it rolling around in the snow :)

  • What a beautiful dog! I'm so sorry to hear he/she is no longer with you. I believe Afghans are the most gorgeous dogs in the world.

  • he or she is sooooo happy!... cute

  • Aww what a cute dog.

  • This probably a long shot but do you know the name of the piano track used here? My Grandad used to play this to me but I can't find the name/composer anywhere!

Cute dog, by the way - and does seem rather happy!

  • Hi! I hate it when I can't find out the name of a song. So... here you go!:

Waltz in A Flat Op. 39 No 15 by Johannes Brahms.

    :o)

  • that IS a happy dog :o) pure joy!

  • It's true: that IS INDEED that happiest dog on youtube. And as usual, the Irish Wolfhound participates in his sedate and dignified way--and the afghanhound acts as if he's snorted speed. A really lovely tribute to a good dog.

  • Great music, creativity, and most importantly the absolute joy of animals. This just reminded me of what makes me truly happy in life. Thanks for inspiring me to be happy again :)

  • luks like a wonderful dog sorry he passed :'(

  • What happened to Shadow?

  • Dear Shadow lived a wonderful full life, and still lives in my heart. Sadly, he passed away at 14 years old.

  • Wonderful film! Shadow looked a real character - as are all Afghans!!

  • Afghans are the best! The most beautiful dogs in the world!

  • they certainly are. I had one that looked almost like Shadow. her name was Asta and she died 12 years ago. she was an amazing dog, beautiful, playful, independent & happy. she loved rolling in the snow too :-)

  • She must have been a complete joy for you. I know the experience of losing a little one and it is absolutely heartbreaking. I would love to adopt an Afghan but since I live in the city it wouldn't be fair at all for him/her. I need to win the lottery so as to buy a house in the countryside where he/she would able to run around wherever he/she wanted.
