  • Wait a minute, the touch screen on my phone can register just fine but a machine that costs thousands more can't? Yeah, who is fooling who?

  • Sorry to be a nuciance. . but I am interested in the Gubernatorial election today.. in West Virginia.. and saw this flipping..machines . While I'm here..just wanted to ask all Conservatives...there are a few hours left to vote.. I would ask any one who know's someone in West Virginia.. to call them and let them know how important this race is to them and America!..If they are still registered all they need is an electric bill and drivers license..!

  • You know?.. If those machines were flipping .. they pretty much would do it to every one until it is recalibrated.. And only a few noticed it and reported it..Did I do that..?.. just click the one I wanted and ...assumed?..And am I right?.. about the flipping unRtill .. the.. machine ..is.. Recalibrated?..Common sense says it would.. so why not their more complaints.......!

  • I think Harry Reid's election should be scrutinized.. as well as Boxer's and Polosi's and a few others..But Reid .. I just do not know..how he was relected with the job rate in Las Vegas other than Sterns Service Union workers! They could be jobless..but they are after another agenda!.. Altho it is... too late for a new election.. but in elections up and to the 2012 .. should at least be watching and listenening for any complaints..in this part... with voting machines flipping!

  • In the UK and the rest of the world, you should know that we DONT USE machines.

We hand count every paper ballot. The same everywhere in the world, apart from the land of the so called free.

You are being controlled. And I think its time, for your childrens sakes, that you become a democracy again. Get monitoring the next election, as you may not have another chance!

  • Always demand a paper ballot!

  • So wait Obama didnt win because basically every black person and some white people voted for him but because the Machines were tampered with? OMG SOOOO SHOCKED!!!!

  • @StfuNoobx Voter faud, rigging elections and other dirty tricks are simply the way dems operate.

Did you all know underhanded tactics is the way Obama won his senate seat when he was in the seenate. He managed to get ALL the other candidates thrown off the ballot and challenged some voter registrations.

  • @Checkerholic I understand you, and i agree completely.

My question is just how are the Democrats getting away with this fraud, forgery, CHEATING. When there is so much evidence and even videos of them getting caught red-handed. If a Rep. does anything wrong the media will jump on it and spread the news quick, But a dem does something but its never told or the DEM gets away with it, but wait i take that back because the media got on Clinton as soon as the BJ was in progess.. poor Clinton.

  • @StfuNoobx

I wish I had a definitive answer to that for you. In the last 15 years or so many of our elected officials have started leaning toward a socialist idealology. That means they are going to turn a blind eye toward these dirty deeds. The news media is largely controlled by those on the left and therefore view these things as a non event. In the last election socialist Harry Reid had his name already checked in the Nevada ballots. That story was very quickly buried by the liberal media.

  • What calibrates the calibrator? Answer: Diebold

  • So you trust a touch screen to give your vote so that can't be changed afterwoods not a chance huh just wondering

  • Touch screens are a lot better than they used to be. You used to have to 'calibrate' them periodically. But that scene where the machine checked the Republican box correctly and then checked Ralph Nader - that had nothing to do with touch screen calibration - that had everything to do with making McCain lose a vote. Is it starting to become clear why we have an anti-American in the White House?

  • LOL solve the problem by using a paper ballot...... IF you want your vote to count.

  • This looks too easy to rig. If they brought that crap to Australia, every machine in the country would be smashed into bits an hour after polling started. How did you allow them to do this?

Ballot papers have been working fine for hundreds of years; if a system works - stick with it.

  • I work with many different touchscreen PCs everyday at work, and Ive never had this happen. I'm sorry but touchscreen technology isn't exactly new and I'm pretty sure they have this figured out how to make these. That calibration shit is BS.

  • Want to know why my country India is still called a 3rd world????

EVM's are in use during elections.

    My country is fuc*ed

  • I hate when touchscreens are out of calibration. Because this happens all the time on iPhones, Androids, etc., right? You tap on one thing and something totally different gets selected.

  • All votes should be done on physical paper.

  • @salbella50 Who's the one being a racist?

  • THIS IS RACIST WHITE CRACKERS AT THERE BEST.....FINDING WAYS TO RIG SHIT......

  • @salbella50 obamaisabitch [dot] files [dot] wordpress [dot] com/2010/08/thats-racist.gif

  • @onebluenine I found just such an ATM machine, last night in the River Oaks Mall in Calumet City, Illinois which when a selection was made, gave me the selection below it which indicates a need for recalibration of this Bank of America ATM, and which reminded me of a similar experience when early voting in October, 2010, where a Selection for Pat Quinn as Governor, yielded a lower y value of Bill Brady for the same office, until I corrected it, as I had to do with the Bank ATM.

  • You guys have to watch the full interview to get the context of the video. This was an excerpt of when this guy intentionally did not calibrate the machine to show what would happen if an uncalibrated machine was used. The machines are calibrated by the poll workers. To assume that the voting machines behave in a manner that changes votes would be taking the video out of the context of the interview and would be a wrongful conclusion.

  • I despise Obama and believe him to be nothing but a fraud, however, in all fairness:

This particular machine is out of calibration to the bottom side, however, couldn't it have just as easy been out of calibration to the top side making it appear as an Obama vote?

Just a thought... From a "tea bag'n, right wing extremist"!

  • Your vote doesn't mean SHIT in America or any other country for that matter.

  • Haha what a pos machine, I can build a better one out of my back yard... what a pos.

The elections are going to be completely rigged again just like with Florida but now wherever these machines are.

what are you going to do when all the old farts go to vote? they will just sit there pushing random buttons voting all over the place... and everyone else will just become annoyed bash the machine in let it vote for whoever it wants and leave.

They should have paper votes combined with machine

  • @Dre4dwolf Chuck baldwin is gona win lol watch....

  • Could this guy do Bill Clinton on SNL or what?!?!

  • OMFG! Touch screens work just fine in restaurants, schools, DMVs, ATMs, job testings, arcades, etc. Why are any governments paying for a crap-ass machine that won't do what it is actually supposed to do. FRAUD!!!!! (I love how it DID vote for Republicans. Typical.)

  • even with paper ballots and an honest result it does not make a difference the fat cats rule and they are unelected, people have got to stop looking at right and left as two seperate parties they are just two puppies trying to please their master and get the largest bone, and sit upfront in the truck, look to the money and whoever controls it is the true masters. you all know who they are. begins with a B

  • i like turtles!

  • nope.chuck just begged his mommy so.....

  • Give me a fucking break. Obama WON. video was obvious propaganda..

  • @AgentxAnonymous You don't get it. Obama or McCain, doesn't matter, either candidate can win by "out of Calibration" machines or hackers. It's not propaganda. One side or the other, we need to be certain our votes are being counted correctly.

  • AgentxAnonymous & above: Assuming you vote on a touch screen machine manufactured by Diebold and/or ES&S (and most of us do), there are a number of things you need to know. 1) their hard drives are programmed by those PRIVATE corporations, which you & I are not allowed by law to examine. 2) the corporations COUNT the votes on their private hard drives & 3) they do not provide a paper record that proves your vote & what the machine's hard drive SAYS your vote was, are one and the same.

  • So what, maybe he should have taken the machines advice and voted for alec baldwin

  • I was a teenager when electronic voting first came around, and my instant first thought was, "Wow, that would be SO easy to hack."

  • 2012 election should definitely be on nothing but paper.

  • get the picture. america isnt what we think it is

  • Have any doubts...Look for the Obama Deception video...it will blow your minds,,,,

  • Deibold is owned by US Bancorp (Federal Reserve Member bank). US Bancorp also owns US Bank, and has recently purchased dozens of failed small US banks.

  • @joygarner the voting machine

division of deibold got unloaded to a

new york investment group two years ago.

deibold is owned by deibold. the voting

machine fiasco was killing their reputation. their dayton ohio headqrts

of about 150 years is being sold as they

build new headqtrs in one of the carolinas.

  • R U suggesting that our vote is safe as a result?

I have read up a bit on the new players. Same gang....central bank cartel.

  • no im not. as you know, beware of the

    horse of a different color.

  • Right on point there. thanks for clarity.

  • Paper ballets Rock.

There is proof left behind for recounts.

Each party gets a rep and an observer to make sure the count is proper and fair.

  • Simply too simple. If you can do this the machine can be hacked. Use paper!

  • yes, paper can't be messed with!! :D or can it >..>

  • Entharion, you are correct that paper can be messed with. This is West Virginia, anything goes! I was just commenting on hacking the computer. out....

  • Elections are fixed far before we get to the polls.

    Wake up, people.

Obama is another paid puppet to do his master's bidding.

  • @omaxpi Agreed, elections are rigged: the 2000 and 2004 elections weren't even cleverly hidden in their theft of the White House. But I think the 2008 election went to the man that actually won it. The usual Republican crooks just couldn't stomach a Palin presidency.

  • BULLSHIT!!!!! If thats the case, how the fuck did the Peoples Puppet win by the highest margin in history??

  • This is happing on an iVoTronic? These things are supposed to be able to catch such problems automatically.

  • What difference does it make when bith parties are the same on most policies and tread on the Constitution. Here's an idea... used color paper for the two parties red and blue. Use white for all independants and other parties. Since less than 60% of voters actually vote... you still end up with sucky choices in the end for both parties.

  • Those machines are unreliable & unpopular, why do we still use them? Voting machines shouldn't require calibration, just get rid of the touchscreen & make simple buttons. Most people with a basic knowledge of electronics &/or mechanics could probably put together a more reliable machine.

  • without paper ballots, well never know the truth about our elections anymore. Theres way to much corruption in the stuggle for power.

its all too easy to right software and alter the votes, and know one would ever know.

there were counties in the primaries were ron paul recieved 0 votes, yet people in those counties had voted for him. case all over the place with different candidates. theses days the media can pretty much get anybody in, doesnt matter rep or dem. everything gets worse

  • If this costs Barrack the election I'm going to be pissed.

  • shall we let you know when the results are out?

    ; )

  • damn good call ... thats the truth.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • first of all.. all the machines should be ready..not "uncalibrated" so yes it is corruption. and like onebluenine said.. ATM machines are touchscreen.. and not one that i have used in the pass yrs has given me a different option than the one i wanted

  • It's funny you mention that, because all the ATMs in my area are made by Diebold, & for some odd reason they never seem to be uncalibrated. Just good luck I suppose.

  • lol i agree with you... but i wish that good luck would follow me to las vegas =( ...but it never does..it never does *shake head sadly*

  • shoulda voted for chuck baldwin anyway

  • How do I get COD4 on this thing?

  • Linux.

  • If ATM machines were this hinky no one would EVER use them.

How do these machines get APPROVED by voting officials? Just WHAT KIND of corruption is involved -- money, politics, or what?

  • Automated Teller Machine Machines.....FTW!

  • @onebluenine atm are privatively owned by a independent company

  • @crazycrackergabe What is your point? I think onebluenine was pointing out that it is not difficult to make a touch screen that works accurately every time. To make a machine that can so easily be "out of calibration" seems like design, not accident. Crooks!

  • Check out Ralph Nader on Dr Phil Wednesday Dec 24th. It's about police beating up the woman at Reagan National Airport.

  • NO!!! You do NOT "recalibrate the machine"!!!

    (What an ASSHOLE!!)

    Here's what you DO:

Rip the "machine" out of the wall, BEAT the Diebold CEO over the head with it until he has a VERY severe headache, then hurl the machine into a dumpster.....and RETURN TO PAPER BALLETS WITH RECEIPTS!!

  • Good call.

    Rather accurate.

  • having worked with touch screen technology for years, calibration is needed and required. POS registers are a different animal compared to a voting machine. I would also think that county clerks are more interested in doing a professional job, regardless of their party. why not get involved in your local poling precinct instead of this piling on mentality. Being a cash register operator hardly qualifies anyone as a voting machine expert. Does working at McD's make you nutrition expert? hardly.

  • 73's

  • Touch screens actually do require calibration between the touch sensors and the display (so people see buttons in the same place the machine does). Go into any Panera store and talk to a manager on how they calibrate the register screens. Working there for two years I had to calibrate a register maybe five times. In two years. This guy had to calibrate his machine twice inside a few minutes.

THAT is what I take issue with, that a cash register has a better track record than a voting machine.

  • its amazing how people by into all the propoganda bullshit on candidates when they are running. do some fucking real research for a change

  • Did you hear three independent forgery experts confirm Barack Hussein Obama "Hawaii" Certificate of Birth is a FAKE? If just one of the several Supreme Court Cases by Presidential Candidate's, Attorneys, or citizens' get heard or Obama doesn't show his REAL birth certificate by December 1st he can go up to three years to Federal Prison. I Love The U.S. Constitution and Freedom...

  • That's a rumor. And a stupid one. nice try.

  • cough.. only a republican would believe that one.

  • Obama = Bush III LOL@

  • You = Complete Idiot.

  • Good Night

  • Did you know: The county clerk of Jackson County, WV is a registered Republican Jeff Waybright. It is kinda of funny that the machine is flipping from Democrat to Republican. Beneficial wouldnt you say!? Moving on do you think that the County Clerk should be involved in the voting process during his/her reelection? I'm thinking that brings alot of controversy? I think we might need to recalibrate that. Whats your thoughts?

  • go chuck..only if he did it to the other 50 states and he would of been president..lol

  • we are now projecting that the winner of West Virgina is ......Chuck Baldwin?

  • a) you can almost eliminate that error through education. b) the problem isn't that substantial. c) most elections aren't that close. d) it's probably at least 2 and probably up to 4 orders of magnitude cheaper to administer a punchcard election. cost benefit wise, a no brainer. it's as if god created punchcards specifically FOR voting. it is more private than a screen too.

  • > yeah coz counting millions of bits of paper is

    > easy.

That's how 1/2 of my test scores in elementary school were counted, by a machine, back in the FREAKING 1970s.

I guess we just don't have the necessary technology today...

Funny how nothing seems to work when it's concerned electing people in our "democracy".

  • thats how bush got his slimy claws in the white house in the first place. I would refuse to vote on a republican machine like that.

  • Voteing on touch pad machines should be outlawed. Everything should be done on a piece of paper, with a pen, and a check box. And every vote should be counted by hand.

  • What I don't understand is why can't a simple machine recognize a check mark and tabulate. We send people to the moon, lay underwater sea cables, configure wi-fi at McDonalds and can't make a simple machine add up calculations from only 11 or 12 different choices? That's a darn shame!

BTW, I video'd my vote.... click on my name to see it...

  • The difference between the Rovian republican and the Obama group is that there is more inclusion for our national identity to embrace with Obama. Our nations has been rife with Rovian, Rush, hard right thinking. They have hijacked the republican format and I'm glad, eventhough I'm a registered republican, they lost big. McCain is a fine Senator who went along with the awful, contorted appeals to the lowest in human nature, alla Rovianspeek. The vote protection this time made the difference.

  • The leadrship represented by McCain is brut force, that promotes adversaries, and more military actions. While I am a republican and always respected McCain, his win at all costs kind of force for the last few weeks revealed an alliance with the neocons who seem to have no faith in winning with the awsome power of thoughtful, persistant actions. The hard right want WAR, WAR, WAR. Wheater because it will bring on second coming or because it keeps everyone edgey and yet provides huge profits.

  • Thanks for the dialogue. The differences between Obama and McCain can not be qualified by a voting record perse, its hard from anyone not able to see whole bills, and having a complete explanation for their impact. What is clear about the differneces between these men is a resounding representaion of whole hearted commitment to use the best skills to approach our collective potential. Obama reprsents adult connection to anger rather than a reacting in ways that creat seperation, and enemies.

  • > The differences between Obama and McCain can

    > not be qualified by a voting record perse, its

    > hard from anyone not able to see whole bills,

    > and having a complete explanation for their

    > impact.

Gee, it's funny that according to yahoo "news" I now know that the "world's ulgiest dog" died today, but I have never seen Yahoo make a mention of any senator voting on a bill.

Come to think of it, I've never seen any "news" cover a bill being passed into law.

    Strange, in our "free" press...

  • Thats why voting with pen a paper is the only right way to vote.

  • it is not! it is better, but it is NOT the only right way. poeple who count the thousends of papers can also do mistakes. BUT there could be also poeple who do the mistakes to trick the election, and noone will notice this! So do not say, that voting with paper is the only right way, since cheating here is also possible at counting.

  • When I voted the black panthers collected my ballot

  • Wow. That sounds like so much more work than marking an X on a piece of paper. Either you put the X or you don't and if you don't well then it doesn't count. Amazing how simple that is.

  • what an expesive pile of shit!!whats wrong with paper ballots?

  • Lol its broke you dummys,

When I voted it waz fine

  • "Lol it's broke you dummys" sure.

  • McCain lost because Michael Connell couldn't steal it for him.

Take a look: velvetrevolution "dot" us

  • "this machine is now calibrated"....then it did it again......what the????

  • "this machine is now calibrated"....then it did it again......what the????

    I know, right?

Why do they have a hard-wired cartridge whose only function is to adjust the machine so it functions properly for a few minutes?

  • Obama won because issues like this were attended to through constant inclusion of over 1.5 million volunteers including election attorney's. It took every bit of really hard work and excellent organisation for a man far more gracious, intelectually capable, and emotionally generous person to be seen over a couple who's true leadership is skills can fit inside a coffee cup with room for cream.

  • > Obama won because issues like this were

    > attended to through constant inclusion of

    > over 1.5 million volunteers

    Without going to the internet,

Name 3 bills on which Barak Obama and John McCain voted on DIFFERENTLY that you think most highlights their differences in leadership.

We get our leaders because they have nice hair and speak purty because voters are uneducated fools that don't do an ounce of research to find out who they support actually has done or will do.

  • He won mostly because of the campaign differences...

If you did actually do the research on the past and present it's fairly obvious.

  • > He won mostly because of the campaign

    > differences...

    > If you did actually do the research on the

    > past and present it's fairly obvious.

    Oh really?

List the differences then. I can distinguish between bullshit lying fucking rhetoric, and actual record in congress. You can't.

List the differences and I'll show you that what they say and what they do are 2 different things.

  • Don't tell me what I can or can't do. You're using a fallacy to counter my argument. I'll tell you one thing I can do, that is to see through tactics that try and make inductive arguments weak with fallacies through unrelated claims.

    The simple stuff...

Obama's central campaigning tactic, positive. Mccain's, Negative.

Obama way more organized, Mccain disorganized (example: fighting in his own party).

  • > The simple stuff...

    > Obama's central campaigning tactic, positive.

    > Mccain's, Negative.

    > Obama way more organized, Mccain disorganized

    > (example: fighting in his own party).

And I would like to ask, who gives a shit?

There is no real difference between McCain and Obama, and you'd know this if you knew their voting records. In any IMPORTANT way, they are identical.

Congratulations, if that's what you wanted.

  • Oh shit dude you got owned... big time.

He is talking about how they campaigned (and spread their message) and that is 100% true in every way you look at it.

Why you would counter his argument with your abilities with congress records, I don't know, because congress records wouldn't affect his argument.

  • > Oh shit dude you got owned... big time.

    I guess. Who cares?

    > He is talking about how they campaigned (and

    > spread their message) and that is 100% true

    > in every way you look at it.

And *I* am talking about how you elected the Black McCain.

Obama voted for the $840 billion dollar bailout, the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and supports HR1955.

You support any of that bullshit?

Voters have been owned, again, because they are stunningly IGNORANT and vote anyhow.

  • Who cares? Apparently you did till the question was answered...

No one would ever support everything if anything that a Politician supports.

There were two main choices in this election and you are saying that Americans voted ignorantly. I don't see the conclusion in your argument, as you said they elected black mccain? So what they were supposed to elect white Mccain? They could of also had wasted our votes on independents who we all know wouldn't win.

    Please explain your logic.

  • > There were two main choices in this election

    > and you are saying that Americans voted

    > ignorantly.

There were over 12 choices in the primaries.

Can you name 3 people in each party that weren't either Obama, McCain, or Clinton that were running?

I can name 3 people running that opposed the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the Iraq War from DAY 1 running.

Of course people voted ignorantly. You're all a bunch of fucking morons that just effectively re-elected Bush III.

  • MAIN CHOICES!

  • > MAIN CHOICES!

    Who created the "main" choices?

    You?

You fuckers don't even know what the candidates supported much less what their voting record is, and you think you are in a Democracy?

TELEVISION tells you who to vote for, and tells you who the "serious" candidates are, and like dogs, you obey.

There is no relevant difference between Obama and McCain or Clint or Giuliani - which is why the media says they were the "serious" choices available to you.

    You're ignorant morons.

  • I don't really care who the other candidates were they didn't seem to want to win much if they didn't advertise.

Well Nader was on tv once or twice and so did Barr appear once or twice, the others I saw on tyt radio/video news. They had nothing interesting to say and they didn't seem to want to push the system either to get a place as a noticeable candidate.

In races no one cares about those in 3rd or 4th place, we only look at those in the 1st or 2nd so the others have to pick up the pace.

  • > I don't really care who the other candidates

    > were they didn't seem to want to win much if

    > they didn't advertise.

    Hahaha.

McCain wasn't even in the top 3 of advertising.

He just got a good deal of press coverage just as Giuliani Obama and Clinton did.

    > In races no one cares about those in 3rd or

    > 4th place,

The media determines who you think are credible candidates.

Like I said, you're morons. You vote for how you're told to vote for and you think YOU are making a "choice".

  • You need to think business ethics... the media is running a business. This business runs a few statistics on peoples interests to see which candidate should get the most coverage.

That's how they obtain their personal benefits.

Ironically you have two candidates C1 who is unique in race and the C2 is a candidate that attacks C1. Everybody is interested in C1 so he automaticaly gets attention, C2 gets attention rubbed off attacking C1.

So we decided for the media to let them cover those two.

  • > You need to think business ethics... the media

    > is running a business. This business runs a

    > few statistics on peoples interests to see

    > which candidate should get the most coverage.

It's the consumer's responsibility to enforce business ethics.

You know what the AVERAGE age of a television viewer is today?

    50.

    > So we decided for the media to let them

    > cover those two.

The problem with this country is that voters are morons, being encouraged to vote.

  • nope the producers and consumers have and equal responsibility and role.

And if you really think the voters are the problem with the country... you need to take a closer look.

  • Oh btw I don't know why you posted the avg age of a TV viewer... And you do know that young viewers will probably learn their news from the computer right? Which would explain the gradual increase in average age over the years.

  • > Oh btw I don't know why you posted the avg age

    > of a TV viewer...

Because people who gets their news from television, don't get any news at all. They get propaganda posing as news.

Intelligent people have abandoned television. There's not enough of us though.

    > And you do know that young viewers will

    > probably learn their news from the computer

    > right?

Television is dying - and not just television news. All of it.

    Good riddance.

  • Well that's something we can agree on and lets leave it at that.

  • television isnt dying if it died us intelligent people who dont get their news from the television actually does because these uploaded clips are from the television however it separates the propaganda from the useless or sometimes important information for us "intelligent viewers" who can't seem to separate it ourselves. oh and if television died then our ability the view such things die as well. just wanted to point this out

  • > television isnt dying

    Yes, it is.

Consumers are walking away in droves. More and more people are getting fed up with the stupidities and lies on the moron tube.

It's not 50% yet, but it will be.

  • okay so the things that are uploaded are from......not television..........its from..........other..people on the internet..who get it from..other..people?

  • > okay so the things that are uploaded are

    > from......not television..........its

    > from..........other..people on the

    > internet..who get it from..other..people?

I'm not saying television isn't uploaded commonly.

    I'm saying television is dying.

It's really quite simple, either the people who run television produce something people actually want, or they go out of business and surprise surprise, the entire population doesn't want to hear about Jon Benet Ramsey or OJ Simpson...

  • You wish, man. TV gets more and more popular every year. Sales continue to climb, and more channels are added everyday. Just because people dont like the "news" they get, doesnt mean they are walking away in "droves." That's a wild exaggeration.

  • > You wish, man. TV gets more and more popular

    > every year.

Newspapers subscriptions now exceed viewership of television "news", and newspaper subscriptions are on the decline.

You just don't know what you're talking about. I've worked in this industry.

  • News is one thing. I am talking about TV in general. You can not dispute that it's popularity is increasing. I for one don't rely on it for news either. But, Im not going to sit here and pretend like it's a dying technology just because it's pissing certain people off. Relax. Does it really feel like television is made to inform anymore? No. And Im sure we can agree on that. But.. sadly.. it's getting more and more popular. And again.. not talking about the news-watcher demographics.

  • > News is one thing. I am talking about TV in

    > general.

    So am I.

    > You can not dispute that it's popularity

    > is increasing.

    I certainly can.

    > But, Im not going to sit here and pretend

    > like it's a dying technology

    It is a dying technology.

What you're using right now is completely replace it. On demand media is killing it now. The only reason old people still use a television is they don't know how to use the net.

  • This is really starting to sound like your personal opinion. I can find literally no evidence that Television has lost it's popularity. Outside of news demos. TV is NOT a dying technology. I don't get how you can honestly say that.

  • > This is really starting to sound like your

    > personal opinion. I can find literally no

    > popularity.

    In google, type:

    "television viewership decline"

This is why the average age of television viewers is going up - the younger generations do not watch it. They use the internet instead and this isn't just in the US it's happening.

  • why not just install a device with buttons on it for the voting booth??

  • That's not "flipping", that's what happens when a touchscreen is not calibrated.

  • I casted my vote and went to check to see if i voted and it said no i didnt so i voted for mccain again

  • and it didnt matterrrr

  • I'm pretty sure I know this guy, too

  • I live in another part of WV, we've never had problems with vote flipping

  • OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE FOR ALL ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES.

    That is all.

  • So everyone can download and make a virus for it. Ya, that is so totally smart.

  • No, so that the machine will actually work. and I can be assured that there isnt any funny business going on. We live in a digital age, and whatever company made this hunk of sh*t is affecting america's trust in technology!

  • Even though they edited the video down. If you watch the whole thing it works just fine.

Besides last time someone got a hold of the source code what was the first thing that was done when it was turned over? The made a virus to prove how weak it was. Congrads for them because its not like anybody hasn't made a virus for a computer program. There is nor ever has been any "funny business" nor any proof of it. And even with everyone complaining Obama won.

  • Anything that uses any sort of touch screen or mouse emulation in some cases, must be calibrated to work properly. He tells the truth. Ever played a ds out of calibration or used smart board at school that wasn't calibrated properly? Thats what happens. Simple fix, it wouldn't be as much of a problem, if people would just refuse to leave without voting for their preferred candidate.

  • its a strong reminder to us that the price of freedom is constant, kindly, thoughtfullness in participation is everyone allowing, creating and promoting a more perfect Union.

  • If They Use Electronic Systems It Only Makes It Easier To Rig The Election. Hacking Anyone?

  • Vote for a new election. Veto 08!

  • The problem has to do with the touch screen technology. you touch a point on the screen and it has to register on the computer somewhere. If it registers in the wrong place, each touch screen should have a way to re-calibrate, so that it will register your touch in the right place. Only that he calibrates it, says it's functioning, and then it still screws up...oops. Or you could just realize that if it registers 4 inches down, then click four inches higher.

    (Don't touch Socialist Barry!)

  • It wasn't simply a calibration issue in this video... when he selected a full Republican ticket, it left Nader checked.

  • IMHO they should just have keys or buttons, maybe ones with some solid tactile feedback and accurate response rather than these fickle touch screens

  • or they could just have a keyboard and have people type the name, although that may not be as "user friendly," how about a mouse or trackwheel?

Better yet, the hell with voting machines. They should go back to paper. I don't think there should be any chance of mechanical error for something as critical as voting for the next president.

  • giving up. I have a computer demon monitoring my posts. Just did a Microsoft update and can't do a thing with my keyboard..bummer

  • As Homer Simpson would say: 'This machine is rigged!'

    /watch?v=1aBaX9GPSaQ

  • haha I just watched that Homer vid, so funny

  • You don't "calibrate" a fucking software program, especially one so simple as this.

  • You're right, but you do have to calibrate the communication between the touch screen and the software.

The simplicity of the machine lies in it's few options of choice. The touch screen is actually a fairly high-tech device and definitely needs to be calibrated properly or things like this will happen.

  • he meant calibrate the touch screen panel

  • but then again, why are they using touch screens? Why not some solid buttons, maybe with solid microswitches built for several thousand operations.

  • my postings are apparently out of my control..lol. anywho..life54321 1600 NEGATIVE votes counted in

  • Note to life54321: When an election reports a 1600

  • Anyone hear about 1) the man who invented the validating paper trail machine"TrueVote". He had a "horrible accident" 6 mos after patenting his machine. And to

  • fortunately, i didnt have to deal with any voting machines this morning, but anyone who does might as well be prepared to walk into the polls bent over. everyone says we live in a democracy but in the end, it all boils down to one person counting the votes. it's alot easier to press a few buttons and change thousands of votes than it is for someone with a bottle of white out to do the same.

  • Why should it even have the capability to jump around crazily?

Why not have the thing automatically calibrate?

    This doesn't make sense.

  • And how on earth is it going to do that? xD

  • hackers ftw

  • Vote on the paper ballot. Don't trust the elctronics.

  • It's True ! ALL Obama and McCain Voted have been reprogramed to switch to NADER.

So, If you want to vote for McCain or Obama, Vote NADER!

You'll have Peace - and a clean conscience

    Not MORE WAR.
