  • then jericho supported

  • i seen them live in glasgow in 85 they were amazing

  • super hits

  • I'm really sleepy right now, and I think I heard English. Would've been besser German.

  • A unique amazing track with words of meaning!!One of my favorities!Very talented!!

  • Good old days. Back in the early eighties Germany gave me a double feeling on its music standard 'Ein bischen Friede, ein bischen Freude' , Schlagers, '99 Luftballons' and these guys here 'Propaganda' (beautiful), and Falco of course. Die neue Welle reagierte damals schnell und effektiv.

  • 35 people joyfully walk in line.

  • mythical

  • the 80's german pop it's the best

  • es decir que me gusto mucho en mi epoca y la recuerdo con gusto

  • epoque song great

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ce titre est un chef d'oeuvre, à l'image de l'album d'ailleurs.

  • oh, so nice to hear them again....i like claudia.

  • A revelation! Miss this group so much....thanks for sharing....IMT80s. mk

  • ricordo un grande capodanno con questo capolavoro

    in pista madonna che tempi!!!

  • Sono sempre i migliori ad andarsene troppo in fretta!

  • Toute ma jeunesse !!

  • SUBLIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I recall hearing this on KROQ back in the day.

  • capolavoro

  • einfach nur geil,kult?

  • classic 80's .... when there were still some groups which had something to talk about.

  • Who else believes this is an absolute masterpiece? Anyone? Try to find a singer or group with expressive faces nowadays... images that match the music... haunting melodies that stay with you even when the song is over... Hell I'm getting carried away... Propaganda can do that to you!!!

  • @rauplan Most definitely it's a masterpiece! I've always loved Propaganda's "A Secret Wish" album. It's one of those rare gems in a world of otherwise boring music!

  • Who are they, Germany's answer to Talking Heads?

  • ART MAJEUR!

  • Cool;) ^^

  • Always fascinating, inventive, chilling

    Thank you

  • German 80's cool. You gotta love it

  • I love 80's elegance

  • Every time I see Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to me Propaganda. Cult Video

  • Definately one of the most progressive bands in the 80´s, and alongside "Duel" which is one of the everlasting pop-songs in general, this one is also one of the greats. Video is just another attempt to be artistycal and obsessed with computers, machinery and cyber-stuff, but that´s one more description of the era of "Star Wars" programme.

Whatever the case may be, I SIMPLY LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Años 80's sonando p-machinery, cuando caian los lobos y la gran explosión en Studio54 Bcn, Do you remember?

  • marionetas del sistema!! alguien mueve los hilos...

  • Freezer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excelente Tema de los 80's a plenitud!

  • grandissima!

  • Propaganda rulez!

  • Weren't some members involved in the Art of Noise-project too?

Musically (Jewel, Dream within a Dream) it's sounds closely related.

  • @Festivum01

Trevor Horn produced Propaganda and was a part of Art of Noise. Check out all the albums from the ZTT record label (zang tuum tomb) (ztt.com). Trevor also produced Frankie goes to Hollywood.

  • @ysterkvisten Thanks for explaining! In dutch we say "ik hoorde de klok luiden, maar wist niet waar de klepel hing", something like: "i knew there was something, but didn't knew exactly what".

Not accidently i put their album A Secret Wish in my car cd-player last week. It was one of the first cd's i bought (after Pink Floyd - Animals en Peter Gabriel - IV), long, long time ago.

  • quanti ricordi......quanta malinconia.....

  • i thought they were british!

  • I love German synthie-pop. Sounds great.

  • @TheSunnyGirl83 Lots of people have used the term synth pop for Propaganda. I didnt see them as pop at all. More as establishing their own niche. A lot of their stuff was very well thought out. Shame they didnt stay together longer!

  • brilliant music sucks these days

  • Propaganda means the same in spanish, german, english, italian, swedish, portuguese... and french (propagande)

    German Functionality

  • man was hab ich dieses lied hoch und runterjedudelt .. ne geile zeit war das !

  • I don't think they are stereotypically German, they have a lot of soul with their electronics where as the band And One are very typical.

  • @silversynth:Nothing is"stereotypically German"-even linguists who have a clue will laugh about such terms.Germany is a highly complicated country with lots of very different individuals+inviduality is rated very highly in my country. The horror between33-45 taught most of the Germans a good lesson for the future.

But our media try to"teach"us with clichés what may be"typically German"+that we should always care what the rest of the world thinks of us.Are we masochists like the Japanese now? No.

  • @MrSKINFLICK Well your talking in micro climate terms for example someone in the South of England have different quirks about them but together they are still typically English. We British have a common stereotype just as every other country is bound to have. My point isn't exactly about people but more to do with how Germans make electronic music. In my opinion no country has more experience with the genre as a result there is indeed a distinct German style of electronica.

  • @silversynth: Quite true, but Germany must still be careful with the reception of its own chlichés from outside - lots of Germans are very critical analytic individuals - even also concerning politically awkward tendencies like the reactor disaster in Japan (some call us hysterical for shutting down 6 or 7 nuclear plants now - but they should have been shut down within the next years anyway + opinion polls for Merkel + the rather neo-liberal FDP are disastrous...) - but......

  • @silversynth:....but i know my Germans to well...if foreigners flatter them all the time what great achievements they have done they will start behaving almost like a softie version of the last idiotical redneck in the U.S. South States-my remark is valid for music+almost every field. We have developed probably more biting TV-comedy than the British -with no respect for anybody- at the moment Gaddafi gets ridiculed for being a transvestite having had a secret love affair with Berlusconi - etc....

  • @silversynth:Of course we also have our stereotypes about the rest of the world+i also would be foolish to deny the very individual+highly influential character of German electronic music-but once again: Base flattery does Germans no good

I don´t know if you know that ca 1803/04 Germans were such an influential+strong population group in the USA -congress almost wanted to introduce German as national language-very funny idea that the rest of the world should´ve learned our difficult language...

  • @silversynth:My remark with"modern biting comedy on German TV or radio was to put it straight that such comedy is very necessary to arouse Germans if they have fallen into too romantic sleep again-the"adoration"for our aristocratic defence minister zu Guttenberg had become too ridiculous(i found nothing very sexy or intelligent/eloquent about him)+when the media+academics found out that he had faked large parts of his dissertation with quotes without any reference-the comedians"executed"him....
