I stopped using the orb of light when it got nerfed so pointless really. It wouldn't have been so bad if the orb followed faster to balance its reduced brightness, but it is now useless. So instead I just made a Daybloom farm and make lots of shine potions. Very disappointing nerf. Oh and potion sickness as well is retarded, another terrible nerf.

you should have one of you stand at the tower while one of you go to the dungeon and then write down how far away it is then go the same distance the other way and dig down

melek when screenrave gives up on the muramasa(the upgrade of the phaseblade) take it from him because if you combine it with a blade of grass which is in the jungle,fiery great sword which is made of 35 hellstone bars and a light's bane which is ten demonite bars and do to a demon altur (the "crafting table" that makes eyes) you can make a night's edge which does 42 damage.thumb up so he can see

They nerfed all the cool stuff and made hellfire harder to mine. Avoid water candles and only them. You can keep spikes chained lights and everything else. Water Candles = Ebonstone essentially. The water candles = enemy spawns in your compound.

The jungle is big, but it should reach all the way to the surface...I don't think that cave is related. There's also different music, with new enemies like giant hornets and maneating plants.

You can click and hold with any mace/flails, and they won't return to you, so you can drag it about, damaging any enemies.

The update also: changed recipes for making stuff, it's a 4:1 ratio of hellstone ore and obsidian when making hellstone bars, you need shadow and gold keys to unlock the corresponding chests on floating islands and underground, your health regenerates on its own now, star fury works underground, enemies damage you more, hellstone bleeds lava when mined, you can get status ailments (poison, burn), meteor heads do more damage, ash and mud don't fall, and underground jungles have a mud background.

I don't really remember reading it, but then again I didn't read a good part of the list because I felt it was spoiling any surprises in the game that you both haven't already run into.

@938mark correction, rocket boots don't use mana at all since i think somewhere between the 1.0.0 and the 1.0.5 patch. it's the space gun that doesn't cost mana when you have full meteor armor on

Ok. Few notes on 1.0.6 for you guys, Melek and ScreenRave. I'm only gonna list the positives.

-You regen HP on your own. You heal faster if you stand still.

-The Golden Keys can open Golden Chests. You can find Shadow Keys inside Golden Chests (Found inside of Dungeons).

-Shadow Chests are found in the Underworld. They contain extremely good items.

-Shadow Keys seem to have unlimited uses.

The day you finally get rocket boots is the patch they were nerfed SIGNIFICANTLY. in 1.0.4 they used mana, and could be continuously used until the wearer ran out. in 1.0.5 they just let you fly for 1 second, but they dont use any mana.

When you are closer to the south pole the needle will point to the south. Then, if you hold the needle upwards, south is in front, east is to the right, west to the left and north is back. ;-)

There is a hotkey for the grappling hook. I think the default is E. So you dont need to keep switching to grapple. Just hit the hotkey. You can actually keep your weapon out the whole time. Its really useful
