  • You don't see many infantry soldiers in Canada trying out for JTF2 after 2yrs. two years would get you QL4. (with catching course timings properly) Most I've heard of applying were QL5's and 6's. Sergeants and Warrants.

Honorable Discharge '99 after 2yrs reserves.

  • just so you all know this isn't a video! this would be called a slide show. :p, but I have just recently signed up in the Canadian Forces and am working towards jtf2

  • Great video, does anyone have the song name?

  • I love the "L" theme to the video =]

  • @Darkestsides Well I love that you love it XD

  • awsome video

  • no its not, i know several people who are pilots, helicopter and airplane, its not hard, maybe to become a fighter pilot because you need to go thru g-force training and most pass out, but other then that, its as easy as pushing a cripple over

  • remember too that being in the Canadian Forces isn't just a a job, it's a lifestyle. Be proud but not arrogant, if you aren't believe me, you WILL get weeded out and nailed my your superiors and fellow peers and it MOST DEFINITELY will follow you throughout your career. If you decided to go COTP, it will be harder and unlikely you be a candidate for any specialty training within your chosen occupation. Shut up, do what your told, but don't be afraid to think, and doing it outside the lines!

  • Best advice my father and former RSM of LdSH told me and would be beneficial for you would be just to try your hardest! You really gotta want to do and fully understand the implications and responsibilities associated with such a career. I'd personally look into trades in which you can come out of the service with knowledge to apply in civilian situations.

  • you could do the canadian swat after jtf if you wanted i bet..you would probably hired like on the spot if you told them that you served with jtf2

  • The Canadian swat is the ERT, you have apply for the RCMP to do that. it doesn't matter were you've been. you have to go through the training and tests.

  • oh..ok

  • @xGotGutsx your an idiot, canada has several police services, not just rcmp, and no, we dont have ERT, again, each city has a differnt crisis response team,

such as tac, swat, sert, hrt, ec.....

  • There is still Regional ERT teams ran by the RCMP. They are the same idea as a SWAT team. Don't be so quick to call someone an idiot.

  • im an Idiot? i live in Canada dumbass. i know what we got. So shut up, you dont know shit. the RCMP are Canada's police, and the "swat" team is the ERT. Search it up.

  • as I said to eltrugel, swearing and calling someone an idiot, and dumbas, telling them to shut up, and saying they don't know shit doesn't make your argument and better. it only pisses people off. there are many names for what we call tactical teams. they are not all reffered to as ERT. so I am going to show you something and then it will be YOU who needs to "search it up".

  • Heres just a FEW examples:

+ Calgary Police - Tactical Unit

+ Peel Regional, OPP, and Starthroy all have - Tactical and Rescue Unit

+ Winnipeg Police - Tactical Support Team (TST)

+ York Regional Police - Emergency Response Unit (ERU)

+ London Police - Emergency Response Section (ERS)

+ Toronto Police - Emergency Task Force (ETF)

Maybe its YOU who should get their facts straight before attacking other people.

  • @eltrugel you are an idoit, because rcmp arent the only police in canada, unless you live on a reserve.... calgary has a tac team, if you went up to any of them and said there ert, they would call you an idiot too

  • the Calgary tac team wouldn't call someone an idiot just because they were misinformed about what their tactical team is called. there are so many names and they all mean the same thing.

  • actually they would, because i watched a guy call them swat and 2 tac members both called him an idoit at the same time, so ya, they would

  • you do know you called yourself an idiot and the RCMP and most municipal police forces have a tac team

  • thanks tips, im not all about this computer stuff so when i get a reply wrong shit can happen

  • hey 13year old, , you wont get anywhere with a bad attidude like that period ,, show some respect ////

  • No doubt buddy, dumb comment about the Infantry. If your gonna be making tributes of the C.F its fairly dumb to turn around and say something like that.

  • Infantry are a bunch of fuck heads? Theyre the back bone to our Armed Forces.I doubt youre even in the forces..

  • he`s reserve now but he used to be reg and yes if i was in your positon i would laugh too but this guy is different

  • Next time try and specify that before posting some CIC officer has combat smarts. Then people might not fly off the handle and get such a laugh out of it.

  • koyukimqho911

  • officers are combat dumb and don't understand real tactical situations....and you need to have 3 years in the military before applying to JTF...before you write anything else... maybe you should get some real military experience.

    Regretfully yours;

A REAL ARMY MAN THAT KILLS THINGS

  • actually its two years and judging by the way you speak your some 21 year old army fuckhead that only wants to kill things and if you wanna see officers that actually are combat smart become a training staff at 704 RC (air) C one of our officers is a 2nd Lt and he would know more about cmbat than you most likely do and another thing stop commenting on my video if you dont like it

  • @koyukimaho911 actually it is 3 years in the army u have to serve, those docu. vids are wrong, i talked with a friend whos in the army and he told me that its 3 years min. and if u join just for the sake of going into JTF2, dont bother. he has seen too many teens join just so they could be JTF2 and not even come close to it and break the 5 year contract.

  • @RCACsurvivorman

Your friend should check his facts. It's three years if you are a reservists. Reg Force can apply after two years.

  • @koyukimaho911

LOL I compltely agree with you dude ahaha

  • @koyukimaho911 yeah koyu is right dude i actually emailed the jtf2 recruitement email and he said you have to serve two years

  • @dugudall230 2 years jackass, i know personally unlike your wannabe infantry ass

  • @dugudall230 speaking of killing things.. koyu killed u on that comment.. good luck being a smart ass some where else on youtube.. lol

  • i thought you got recruted

  • nope

  • lol yea i found out a couple vids after this that any canadian soldier can apply for JTF2

  • yeh they can but im not of age to be in the CF yet im only 13 im still in Air Cadets :p but yeah either way all parts of the forces and units like cadets that train you about the CF are awesome GO CANADA

  • I am in Air cadets to and want to join the CF and hopefully JTF2. Where is your squdron based?

  • Advice, dont join the CF just for a special ops unit...because you have chances to fail in the selection....you should go as an infantry soldier...then excell at that first...

and when you have the chance...apply...

but you cant "just" apply...you have to be pre approved by your commanders (not easy to do)..then make alot of tests. just to access the selection...

Think twice before joining, because you will regret it after you sign your first contract..

  • thats actually what ive been planning to do i just dont want to be army im gonna join the airforce as an aircraft mechanic or somthing

  • Trenton, Ontario 704 Airforce City Squadron

  • Nice, I train in Leduc, Alberta 831 Blacknight squadron.

  • Any members of the CF can apply. for jtf2.

but majority of the candidates that gets selected are infantry soldiers or officers..

you just have a better chance to be selected when you are an infantry soldier.

because you already know the basics of weapon handling and tactics...so you will make it more easier during the 7 months course...its just a suggestion...so yea..if you want to be a pilot..or in any other branch, its your choice..as long as you pass all the tests, you are ok...

  • A large amount of armoured guys have been on selection and have been doing well..

  • Every member of the CF should know the basics of weapons handling and tactics. Shit you learn that in BMQ. With infanteers comes one thing too. Habits. Some which may be VERY hard for them to break.

  • Nice Koyu, Rank in Air cadets? Im 14 already preparing to get into the Airforce by going to C.A.M.P and all this other stuff lol :D Im Corporal atm btw. Bout to get promoted :D! One of the top shooters in my squadron

  • im a Corporal just promoted last month im one of the top shooters in my squadron too :D i forgot to send in my camp forms D: my grlfriend is an LAC :p im in flag party i carry the engsin :D what squad are you from im in 704 Airforce City Squadron the best out of the two squadrons in Trenton,Ontario

  • btw what do you plan to do in Airforce im plannin on either pilot, mechanic, or flight engineer like my dad was i cant wait till im old enough to get my glider wings or my power wings only 3 more years

  • Fighter pilot if not then just going for the basics of helicopter or what not

if that doesnt work its sniper for me

  • i know someone thats gonna be a sniper yohave to be in the infantry to try out for sniper

  • Not to much JTF2 photo's around. not surprised. >_>

most of those photos are CSOR. still the video is rockin.

    5/5

  • thanks XD the awesome thing is im liveing on the base where jtf2`s new hq is gonna be built :D

  • Keep in mind, JTF 2 "doesn't exist" to the public

  • Anyone wanna tell me what the differences are between JTF2 and CSOR?

  • JTF@ is our secret operational unit and CSOR is kinda the same but more for anti terrorism stuff and their a newer regiment i think. might be wrong thow

  • No your right, but Jtf2 and CSOR does the same operations, and sometimes together...

CSOR works with all other special forces around the world for anti terrorism and JTF2 prefers to do missions alone or with CSOR soldiers only. But its pretty much the same for both, exept for jtf2 ,wich got a harder selection process.

  • your wrong. jtf2 is comparable to delta force and sas, in which they are HIGHLY trained in both counter terrorism and special operations outside the country. csor is comparable to the army rangers and are not as highly trained as jtf2 operators. jt2f DOES work with many other special forces units, particularily american and british, such as they are doing in afghanistan with delta, sas, and seals, and other units. in many cases csor will be backup to jtf2 but they aren't "pretty much the same".

  • uhmm, for jtf2,thats what i said, they have a harder selection process, wich makes them more serious and deadly than CSOR,but CSOR is the canadian special operation regiment, they do the same kind of missions than jtf2,but operates with other special forces around the world, not like JTF2

  • they don't do the same missions as JTF2. and when they do work with JTF2, its as a supporter role, similar to the US Army Rangers working with the Green Berets. they are like back up. JTF2 does harder missions, often ones that CSOR is not capable of handling. And they both operate with other special operations forces around the world. JTF2 especially since they are older and already have an amazing reputation in the spec ops community.

  • i see your Canadian, have you ever watched a show called courage in red? Maybe watch that, thats where i get most of my info.

  • exactly. you get your information from courage in red which is a show about the RCMP, not the Canadian Forces...

  • i was talking about the RCMP and ERT no the Canadian forces.

  • ya you are right exactly

  • CSOR=they work on special operations unconventional to the regular Canadian army, They also can deliver more man power for large operations, as such they sometimes support JTF2 with fire power while JTF2 teams can focus on priority objectives further more CSOR is not so secretive as JTF2 are.

JTF2= This unit works in 4 man teams called bricks, they work in the shadows and in secrecy. everything JTF2 do is classified.

They are like Delta force or the SAS to put it simply. JTF2 are the elite.

  • Wow. You're the first person I've seen to ever get that right on Youtube. Legit, not being sarcastic. Everyone else is missinformed and thinks CSOR is as good as JTF2...

  • @davewing69 CSOR is like the us army rangers and JTF2 is like the S.A.S

  • @derpaherp123 I like your description. But the JTF2 has nothing to do with the aerospace.

  • what song is that?

  • it`s L`s Theme-Death Note

  • Lot of that is CSOR.

  • yup
