Patrick Leahy has done nothing! Come on. What's actually happened? NOTHING. Leahy is useless. This man refused to take a Constitution from a young lady because she thought he needed a copy. What has actually been done??? NOTHING. Of course he is helping the O admin. Leahy would have to proscecute himself. This is America there's no such thing as a truth commission.

This man protect Sotomyer from any questions that might be embarassing. He assured that she wouldn't overturn "settled" issues. The taking of the poor's real estate for rich developers comes to mind.

A Truth Commission is absolutely required. Without pressure from the people the crimes will be sweaped under the rug, and a lot of vital info will not come out, its clear the spineless Democrats will not prosecute unless they are forced to by revealations of protected witnesses, and its clear revelations wont be comming forth without immunity. Obama is almost a front man, he did not vote against spying on americans(FISA) without pressure he will Not do the right thing.

If it were up to me Cheney, Wolfowitz, Feith Rumy & neocon PNAC gang should be tried for war crimes at the Hague, but this wont happen, nor will any serious investigation (FBI=cronies), a toothless commision is the least worst option that can actualy go ahead, and revelations can lead to others prosecution. Time is short, they are sweaping under the rug and pretending its clean, after a while there wont be traction for any inquiry not even a truth commition.

The fix is in. If Leahy's comission goes on all of Bush's crimes will be ignored. Nothing will be done about them. No jail for the guilty. This way we get to be slapped on the face by the depth of Bush's corruption and arrogance and will not be able to do anything.
