Great job and great arrangement Mike! I've just got that song memorized and am currently trying to play it as smoothly as yourself. Thanks for you website. I recently posted a video of the Girl I Left Behind which I learned from your tabs. Thanks!
'Got to say that cello banjos haven't lit my own candle so far but this really puts it in the frame and shows it off to it's best. I really admire the stuff you do and your "Lonesome rovin' wolves" is just another classic. It's all great stuff and I hope that you continue to post as it's most inpsiring stuff. More power to your (picking) elbow!
I'm usually very resistant to the idea of hybrid banjo/guitar/ukulele instruments, but I find cello banjo to have a great quality about it. Sounds almost unearthly, but at the same time its a perfect fit to the old folk tunes designed for frailing banjo. Good job!
NIce job. Very percussive sounding. Reminds me that the banjo started as a drum with strings stretched across the head.
