i had an old outdoor uhf vhf antenna, added a coaxial adapter and put it on iron rod with a 50 ft cable and set it on the ground and i get 28 channels with it. once i mount it on my roof i'll probably get more.
Just tried building one myself and It gave me 0 digital channels and the same old 3 analog channels that you get with a cheap set of rabbit ears, good thing I only spent about 3 or 4 dollars. I also didn't have a signal booster,I priced those out and they are fairly expensive.
cool but im 13 and i connected mine to the whole grid so absolutely no wires runing around the floor or walls or ceiling plus i built and designed it my self.....its a 2 part antenna in one.....the top is composed of metal rods and the botom consists of a relfector and a "spiderweb" design again composed of metal rods then in the back a HUGE 2 window screen reflector
hey does it work for normall AIR Antenna TV i know now its all digital in the US but will it work normal antenna? DO YOU PUT THIS OUTSIDE OR IN YOUR HOUSE DO YOU NEED THE POWER BOOSTER...
Provided the length of the elements is correct, why would these work better than a (good) set of "rabbit ears"? Also what about alignment? No one I saw so far mentioned anything about them being omnidirectional
These antennas posted on youtube do work. I can get a TV siginal w/ digital HD quality on some channels. The closer you are to the sending antenna the better of you are. A siginal booster helps alot. You have to be willing to try the antenna in different locations.
how much did it cost for u to make the homemade hd antenna? and would it be cheaper to buy one? i just asking because idk im get a 32" Proscan HD LCD Flat Screen TV in 2 weeks
Good compared to what? You've hooked some random pieces of wire to an amplifier and get something. So what? How does it compare to a proven design? Or a 'real' antenna?
This one is a bit complicated. Could you make a diagram please? I tried it but this video allows only one angle for me to draw but could not make it out.
man, all those antennas look really bad. But i bet they deliver hella good signal.....pretty much what i need right now (can't watch shit, so im here watching youtube)
if it worked so well . why not show it working

If you want a diy antenna design with some science behind the design and proof that it works, i have uploaded a tutorial on how to make one

like the days when the homemade satellite dish made small mesh to chicken wire style so we see if he find a surplus radar dish like 3 meter/

This guy is toying with you. I hope. Signal booster = more loss than its worth.
I hope you are joking. And that pattern is funny at least.
