I've got the exact same set in DW, only my bass is a 16" X 18". 6 X 10" tom have incredible musical tones.

Looks like a 16" diameter bass. I have the same kit with a 16 X18 bass, but with DW lugs. The secret to getting a great sound from a mini, or jungle kit is to use a riser (also called a lifter) on the bass. This way the beater hitsthe sweet spot in the middle of the bass drum.

What are the mics? I'm interested in buying some mics for my kit but I don't have a f*cking clue where to start. A list of them would be nice. And if anyone knows any decent cheap ones send me the names. I need ones that are decent enough for a couple of demo CDs for my band and just messing around filming like this.
