@liamtaylor93 that's funny, Linux only works for people who love to spend time figuring out their computer mac is for people who don't care if they have no control just as long as it works, and they don't have to ever thing or even have much customization, windows is the middle, little bit more customization but runs out of box reinstalled just fine with out the troubles of trying to figure out what type you want, i love my windows and Linux, and would get a mac if they weren't so overpriced

And the reason i call him a fuckwad, is the only reason he stole all of his ideas from steve jobs. they were business partners, and gates was in deep with apple before windows was formed. Jobs had the idea of using a mouse to navigate, and various other things you find on all computers today. Gates left apple, and released a product with all of jobs ideas. thats what made gates wealthy.

So my Mac Laptop screwed up yesterday... tried to restart it and it wouldn't. Ended up having to pull the battery.

Moral of this story: PC's may need the occasional reboot, but at least i don't have to dicsonnect the power to make it do so.

@1nfam0usEdits I'm sorry but I think that's a one off case. I've had my current Mac for 2 years, and I had an iMac a couple of years before that. I do a lot of power-consuming work like Video-Editing, Gaming and that has NEVER out of those 4 years happened to me.

So I'm sorry but it is wrong to say you ALWAYS have to disconnect the power cord for a Mac.

i run a windows laptop, it doesn't have great specs, but it doesn't do all the horrible stereotyped rubbish in these adverts, it's never jammed, i've never had a real virus, it doesn't lag, i don't have tonnes of trial software, when i got it, i didn't read a ton of manuals, or have to download drivers

There are 2 kinds of mac users that i have experience with. Mac users who have no idea how a computer works. And mac users that bought their mac before taking computer science or networking. I realize there are a few, there must be, but i have never met someone who believes that in general mac is superior to PC that has any idea what they are talking about. I have no problem with macs. Much of my extended family use macs. But its reliability comes from simplicity and lack of compatibility.

I'm getting a Mac in January. My only excuse for not geting one sooner has been the price, but since I can get it cheaper through my dads job I thought "what the hell".

Needless to say, I currently have a PC and it gets the job done. No major problems, but all the small bugs add up, which pisses me off. I've tried a Mac so I know that there are almost no bugs on there, and if there are it fixes them itself.

PC's are good enough, but there is no arguing that Macs *just are better*.

Yes, you can game on a Mac, but there are less games available for a Mac than a PC, so I recommend using Boot Camp.

Lol, Windows doesn't need constant restarting if it's free of viruses and is patched. The only time I've ever had to restart my computer this year was when we had a power outage and the UPS wasn't working. Aside from that, my PC runs brilliantly :)

It's more to do with how mature the user of the OS is.

I think the look of my iMac 20" is what made me pay for it, but it was also the easy "Out-of-the-box-ready-to-go", the speed everything loads at, the hi-def screen makes designing that little bit more easier because on most TFT screens you get dark spots where it's almost "Shadowed", and CODA is a great app and a great reason to get a mac xD (Jokes, but CODA is awesome). So the look, the quickness, the software and the feeling of total security is WHY I prefer Macs but have grown up on PCs :)

Some people only use a computer for work and stuff like spreadsheets and text documents, so they find a PC preferable.

On the other hand, there are people who prefer Macs because they are a lot more simple and fun to use.
