@the23rdmonkey i totally agree. Thom Yorke is my hero and Bjork isn't far behind - but it's the drums in this song that make it special. They're mindblowing.
@orangerange101010 The intro is in 2/4 time, although it could be cut time... The drumming in the verses in in 7/8 time, in the little breakdowns after like 1:40 it is in 4/4 time for 2 bars and 3/4 time for the last, then it goes back into 7/8, and finishes on 7/4 time.
hey world... if you love beats search 4 chingari / panchari melam symphony with rythm in hindu temples from kerala, south india ,which is more than1000 yrs old cultural barrier may b a problm initialy but music is universal also remember classicals need repeated hearing which wil make us addicted,so dont mis d exitement world still hav much more to take frm us .peace ..
I bought this single and arrived today: the vinyl has been not stopped playing in at least an hour... is a fucking obsession. And the cover sleeve is amazing, ohh I love it!
@whatcaniget "so has Radiohead now disappointed you too?" yeah it did...it proved me that after so many years i still can't imagine that they are humans like us...

Bjork is just stupid - voice like a nine year old, squealing for the bathroom. All her 'songs' (if you can call them that) are the same and she's just boring. This is just a painful noise. Thom Yorke can really sing (especially live), but Bjork sounds like she's got stuck in a doorway...squealing for help, over and over. Dreadful.
@RelativeBadger: this is not "painful noise". It is "painful Noise". That's the difference :) Most people hearing Coltrane say that jazz is random music. In the same spirit.
@RelativeBadger (put the name of a random mainstream singer here) is just stupid - voice like a nine year old, squealing for the bathroom. All her 'songs' (if you can call them that) are the same and she's just boring. This is just a painful noise.
Bjork was allways in my book the best female artist..and after Vespertine album which is brilliant..i thought that Bjork will never disappoint me..and then came Timbalimba production and album called Volta..and once again i realised that only Radiohead will never disappoint me..still i can't belive she hirred Timbalimba to help her...why oh why.....
WTF is this... I kinda liked Wanderlust, but most of the time it's really hard for me to understand what she's trying to achieve with all that weird beats and stuffs.
@fucojr It's Avant-Garde music; a subgenre of experimental music. Avant-Garde music, like all experimental music, like Progressive and Art Rock tries out different sounds and uses instruments that are not of the mainstream. So, what Bjork is trying to achieve is what all experimental artists are trying to achieve, to sound different.
quite of a fist-in-your-face and call-to-arms piece. she's been increasingly aggressive and martial since Volta. the beat is as good as in some very good Scandinavian black metal. i think that she should next collaborate with Hellhammer of Mayhem.
oh my god. I'm in absolute love with this. The breakcore and jungle side of me digs the high energy rhythms, and the folk-ish side loves the vocal and lyrical work. Bjork and Yorke have some huge potential.
