true i agree with the larger horse not using this horse. it is an amazing horse but you can see it struggling with the weight

This is SO awesome, I've always wanted to do this...but I don't have the balance or flexablity...I KNEELED ON A VAULTING HORSE ONCE!!! My mom's friend's daughter vaults. But thats it cuz otherwise I probably would have died. Hahaha

You would have done amazing, people forget that this kind of performance takes YEARS I'm almost at seven and can barely do this. (Granted I don't get to practice much with trying to keep a job and get into college, but still) Vaulting requires nothing from an individual but desire and dedication. I have yet to see someone "bad" that had put all their effort into learning. I'm a klutz when I'm not on a horse, kinda funny really, I get made fun of all the time for it.

I agree. Personally, I would never have chosen this horse for team, my team uses horses more capable of carring that weight and cantering well, like our larger draft horses. We use warmbloods and smaller horses like this one for individual things, but warmbloods are used because they are "falshy" which gives a better horse score.

Yes, the horses are (I think) some of the best trained in the world. They must be bomb proof for everything and not mind people on their back. When I describe vaulting to most people they say "Oh, how dangerous" but it has the least injuries out of all equestrian sports.

yeah one of the 1st things you learn is how to fall proply lol.. were as show juming you dont learn to fall off you just fall x

lol, yes you are very right, the first thing we learn is how to fall! Sounds terrible dosen't it? We actaully go around teaching falling clinics as a fundraiser for our team! It keeps us safe!

This was my team Coast Line. I am the first to get on the horse. This was not in Saratoga or in 2005. It was in Stadl Paura, Austria in 2004at the World Vaulting Championships. My team got the bronze behind the Swiss and Germany.
