@harratico at the time it was a separate download, but it's now provided in our main bundle. Just go to divx.com and download DivX Plus and click the check box for the Codec Pack in the installer
i did this and half my mkv files stream properly, half stream for about 10 seconds, then freeze for 2 minutes. Its not a network problem, i've streamed some files with double the video bitrate of the mkvs i've tried, and all those files worked perfectly. All DivX files stream seamlessly.
@MagnusRulerHardt MKV is a container, it can hold a number of audio, video and subtitle tracks. AVI is also a container, that can hold again, a number of audio, video and subtitle tracks. So, yes, it can hold DivX plus video tracks. It's not about being the same.
@aakwon You could try to put the subtitle file and video file to the same folder. Then you should give the video and the subtitle file the same name like "lol.avi" and "lol.srt".
we dont need any of your fucking downloads

You don't have to convert files. You can use codec packs, like K-Lite.

Somehow I can't imagine streaming 8 mb/s over wireless internet in order to display the Mkv correctly... But I might give it a try...
