@minimi121 Elkie Brooks was singing way before Bonnie Tyler. So you could say Tyler tried to sound like Elkie. Elkie also has a great voice for Rock and Blues.

Hi Eamonn20a. It's true that R Ballard wrote it but if you buy Elkie Brooks 'Appearing at Shepherds Bush Empire, she announces on stage that she stole this song from Kim Wilde who Russ intended it to be sung by. It suits Elkie's voice better i think and she does a great job with it. Cheers

No More The Fool was originally written for Kim Wilde but Elkie friendly with the writer asked if she could do it instead. She did a great job. Not sure if it would have suited Kim Wilde.
