@nerak48enterprise Hahaha!...You sound really pissed off (and rightly so). Ravenite1 is from your homeland, USA....I have also heard some Americans pronounce Wimbledon as 'WimbleTON'...poor dears!
To think that some drummers on youtube think that Palmer is not a great drummer just because he has incredible chops then he's not musical: Ha; listen to about 1:45 to 1:50. Emesrson, who is a superb musician comes in half a beat late and Palmer picks it up so quickly he moves his hi-hat foot imediately to get back on track. It is Palmer who makes it sound seemless and the youngest one in the group at the time (19 years old); What ears. And forget about the drum fills at the end. Holy smoke!
@spercoco You're right. Great save by Carl at 1:45. Hard to believe anyone wouldn't acknowledge how talented he is. Best drummer since Buddy Rich in my opinion
@spercoco Absolutely. Palmer often saves both Emerson & Lake by adjusting his timing to them. And then some dingdong will comment, "Palmer's timing is off, listen to 6:37 blahblah..." When they're too dim to catch what was really off. ELP is almost flawless anyway, which is mindblowing. The sheer mathematics, which have to be innate to them all, shows genius.
@RottenAnatomy YEAH!! THAT is what got me into ELP!! Sounds stupid...cause the rest of the entire package is SUPERIOR! But it took a drunken night at a good friend's house to play this on his vinyl player to open my eyes! (ears)
Yeah your absolutely right... the only problem is when you buy bootlegs like I have they are not always going to be good... speaking of Jimmy Page... I would love to see him release 75 Earls Court show which on DVD which has been floating around the underground for some time now....
Seriously speaking I feel like bringing the DVD back the only reason I'm not is because it still has some historical value to it... This was ELP's debut performance also... these companies are such scumbags... just out to ripoff the fan anyway they know how.......
The film crews apparently took a break when ELP did their set. It wasn't until midway through Pictures when the band was going down well with the audience did they resume filming, therefore getting the rest of the performance, although I don't think Nutrocker was filmed.
anyone else agree that the beginning is a little black sabbath-esque?

you're RIGHT, it's Wight ~ WIGHT WIGHT WIGHT
and it's the WHITE Cliffs of Dover, not the WIGHT Cliffs of Dover, which I have seen posted incorrectly elsewhere.

Keith says "That's Carl Palmer there, on drums!" at the same time Greg says "Thank you, very much!" at 5:08.

If you think about it there is no real legitimate reason why they would leave this off the DVD..........
