  • Man I LOVE Sonor. I do not think I have ever heard a sonor kit that I did not like. Even the low end kits sound good. SONOR all the way!

  • informative and easy to comprehend I have played for many decades and love cruising YT for even more ideas good teaching format DA !I love to see the fairer gender play percussion 'specially the kit

  • not to be a troll but this should be practiced on one pedal first be for u do it with too. not sure what intention was on video im just saying

  • Me thinks Sonor & Sabian would like to thank Dale Anne after this! Great stuff...

  • I like that the title of this video doesn't mention that it is a woman on drums just to get those extra views. You'd think people would stop getting surprised by the opposite sex doing things that people wouldn't have expected 50 years ago.

  • Who needs double pedal for something as simple as this...

  • Thanks for the lesson, helps us beginners out.

  • This is awesome. I need to learn it without the double peddle tho.

  • Double pedal? are u kidding me?! -.-"

  • Very nice sounding kit...especially the snare & kick.

  • When you try and do that same thing, at about 180BPM, withOUT a double pedal, that's when it gets tricky...

Sounds cool though. Typical metal fill. A lot of metal drummers use this. :)

  • whats the crash at 0:35?

  • @StardustRevolutionX:

Hi There! The cymbal that you asked about is a Sabian AA 18" Brilliant, extra thin. All of my cymbals are extra thin, AA brilliants... I also use a 17", 16", 14".

Thanks for your interest and good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • thanks for not talking! good vid!

  • can anybody or Dale answer this question please, the cymb or shall i say , the closed hi-hat sounding !! that next too the mounted tom, whats the name of them and size??

  • @ajtoy454

Hi There! That instrument is made by Sabian and is called a Chopper!! It sounds cool, and is only around $100. There are a couple of different sizes available, mine is a 10". Thanks for your comments and good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • @daleannebrendon

Hello Dale, thanxs for the reply so quickly, after seeing your cymb's I went on there site and found them but i didnt know your size and yes they sound simply awesome, my set is not up yet as iam re-doing the basement over with sound proffing, insul, and new sheet-rock. I do have an axu-hi hat boom arm for a closed set-up which Iam confused now after hearing yours/ which do you prefur?? or give some advise pleze....

  • @daleannebrendon yeah i was gonna ask the same question but dale you are a amazing drummer i usually dont like girl drummers that may sound sexist but i just dont belive the have the passion for percussion but you on the other hand have so much passion then i do for drumming your timming is spot on and i hope to be as good as you one day

  • This sounds really really awesome! The only problem I have is that Dave Grohl could do this with one foot... can you?

  • HOT !!!!

  • Nice pattern applied in a number of ways. Will have to try them on my kit :)

    Cheers

  • I like your style... no talking just drumming.

  • Love what your doing with these short licks and how at performance tempo they sound so cool. I call these "ice-ing licks". I make pretty good cake but I get bored sometimes with my ice-ing so it's nice to see someone else's "ice-ing". Keep it up.

Maybe some swing and blues "ice-ing"

    All the best

    Bubbarom

  • No talking, just drumming? sounds the total opposite of Jeff indyke.

  • hard to get the lick to sound even between hands and feet like this.. mine sounds like a dogs breakfast in comparison .

  • beautiful... thank you for sharing.

  • Very good !!!

  • FInally!! I keep hearing and seeing this lick in so many songs and videos but I could never break it down because they're always played at full speed. I didnt know what it was called either so I couldnt just google it. Thank you very much for breaking it down slowly. I don't have a double pedal though so Im going to have to work on this with a single. But at least now I know what to practice! Thanks a million. This lesson is priceless.

  • @paqman78

  • Excellent!

  • Nice

  • Very nice sounding drum kit!

  • Hi TroyaE117:

That little number is a Sabian chopper, 10". It is awesome to play on, a real sweet addition to a hihat or ride sound. Thanks for your interest, good luck with your drumming!!

  • you are great you make it look so simple. i really like how that little cymbal sounds? what is it a splash? how does your snare not have overtones?

  • Superb drumming, and all from a 4 drum kit.

What is that little hi-hat like device you use at middle left? It's a new one on me.

  • awesome!!!

  • awesome, can you tell me the brand of your double pedal?

  • my god youre hot

  • how many years druming? what set is it? cymbals? please discribe

  • Hi lwanete! I have been drumming for many years... since I was 12 yrs.old! The kit in the video is a Sonor Force 2007 birch kit... sounds awesome! I am a Sonor endorser and love the Force 2007 line, and I also play on the S-Classix line. The cymbals are Sabian- I love the AA crashes, thin and brilliant, and then I have lots of splashes, an AA ride and the "Chopper" which is really cool. Thanks for your interest, and good luck!

    Dale Anne

  • great! thx a lot! kep the good work!ª!

  • double bass pedal.....she cheated!!

lol...i thought she used 1 pedal

  • Hi rhcpkzi: Yes, I used a double pedal, and no, I can't get that speed with a single pedal. I think the double pedal sounds clean and punchy, and I like being able to achieve that speed no matter what it takes! Thanks for watching!

    Dale Anne

  • me enamore de la baterista y de su forma de tocar, yeah, me encanto.. bye y un saludo

  • That is awesome Camrizzle!! I am so glad you're practising and also checking out my videos! A full length dvd will be out soon!
