This cop doesn't have a taser, OC spray would clear out the entire restaurant, the ASP baton should have been used and the gun wasn't justified to be used. So he basically had his bare hands and the baton and he was justified in using both. Maybe you should look again. Also check out the other video that is a different angle. She clearly puts her hand on the cop first and clearly interferes with him trying to arrest the other person. The cop was completely in the right. Got news for you. Cops are aloud to use force. And yes, having a badge absolutely does make him a more powerfully person. He is the authority . The cop asked them to quiet down. They told the cop to f***k off. The cop told them 3 or 4 times to leave the property. Again they told the cop to f***k off. Guess what's next?? How about jail? Any and all charges against the Officer were dropped. Rightfully so, he did exactly as he was trained to. The cops do not have to accept unlawful hands on abuse from the public. They are authorized to use one level of force higher than what's being shown to them. Read that last sentence again and make sure you understand it; it's important to know. If you push a cop, yes, he can hit you. If you punch a cop he can tear you a new one with the baton. Always one level above.

The cop has been cleared of any wrong doing. All these videos online actually helped clear the cop cause it clearly shows he was pushed and obstructed, then flat out attacked. Also, due to the videos, the DA upgraded the charges on ape lady to Felony Obstruction. She's facing a year in jail.

He was out of line there are other ways to deal with disgruntle people. He punched her in the face not because he was trying to restrain her. If this was a domestic issue he would have went to jail

@theclient2k You can "what if" a situation all day. How about we just stick to the facts. The cop was trying to arrest someone who was resisting and the ape lady was physically obstructing him. It has nothing to do with a domestic dispute. You can't compare an apple to an orange. A cop can and will punch you if you attack him. Period.

Police are trained, authorized and instructed to use one level of force higher than what's being shown to them. @theclient2k You don't seem to be real bright so I'll go a little further into this. This cop doesn't have a taser, OC spray would clear out the entire restaurant, the ASP baton should have been used and the gun wasn't justified to be used. So he basically had his bare hands and the baton and he was justified in using both. The cop was trying to arrest the black lady who was resisting and then the ape came into the picture, not knowing any of the other ladies, and begged for a ride to jail.
