I've just finished the book and absolutely loved it. It would be great to see it in movie form, and there does seem to be a few more WW2 movies being released soon....so who knows?
I'd love to see it as a film!!! What a classic it would be!
I discovered this book by accident about a week ago, in paperback form at a train station bookshop in Sweden. It's the best thriller I've read all year.
Oh btw, the black and white still of the B17 seems to not fit in with the flow of things here...but apart from that it was a really well done mock trailer. Let's hope we see it for real soon.
Hi Jason, glad you liked the book. The trailers are a bit of fun. I used to be an artist in the computer games business....it's good to keep my hand in with cg.
Hi. I didn't realize you were also the author. I also work with Computer games and CG - some really nice animations there. Like the cut in the fueslage of the plane where the underwater searchlight slowly sweeps onto the skull while the camera tracks forward...super stuff.
No, I use that old workhorse, MAX. If I were still in the business I would made the move to Maya, though. So who are you with Jason, and what;ve you worked on?
I work mostly as a teacher here in Sweden, and my special area of interest is in creating historically accurate models of ships. I do contract work for VSTEP, creators of Ship Simulator 2008. My contribution there was the RMS Titanic. Currently working on a project for musuem in Belfast. I use Max too :-)
Fantastic novel - very difficult to put down! I'm not normally interested in war - related books, but this is gripping!! Watching out for your next novel....
Thanks RacingBoo, it's encouraging to get a comment like that. If you're interested, my next book is out pretty soon. Called LAST LIGHT. If you check out the other movies I've made, you'll see a trailer for it.
I've been a fan of Simon Scarrow for some time now. So when I heard his brother had written a book as well, I had to buy it. And how glad I am I did. It is excellant. So, Alex Scarrow, PLEASE write more. The video is brilliant, let's hope the film follows soon.
Ooh, taste buds are tingling, really enjoyed the book, so a film would be even better

I read A Thousand Suns while flying to Athens and back to Gatwick 2 days ago. What a terrific read at 36,000 feet! Alex Scarrow made my weekend.
