I saw images of the prototype GX-45 several differences include:

- The silver is cleaner.

- Slightly different head sculpt

- Hover Pilder cockpit is painted blue and not clear.

Wow. My previous comment was given a negative? Why? Not really hating. i just prefer gx-01. Well, fyi, I have almost all the soc mazingers, including the gx-45 (even the hard to find ones like gx01r+ and gx-45a), so it's not like I don't like the gx-45. I just prefer gx-01. Geez!

You know what...I actually like the first soul of chogokin Mazinger (gx-01). It's the closest to the original anime series, for me. And yes, Mazinger is supposed to have blue arms and legs.

and for your info, the extra joints in he new Mazinger x-45 were made to make the figure look taller and proportional when you place him next to the female robots of the Chogokin line

Would probably snatch it up if it weren't for one thing that I don't like about Mazinger in general - the head. I just find it to be a very oddly designed head and I cannot get myself to liking it, no matter how much I look at it. Perhaps a shame because I'm missing out on quality SoCs of him. Oh well, more money to spend on food and housing. :p

Soul of Chogokin: GX-35 Xabungle Walker Galliar. that was my first SOC and i still think its one of the best. its a good starter to see if you like the SOC line before laying down the big bucks for something like gunbuster.

GX-35 lacks sufficient diecast. I would spend a little more and get GX-43 Daimos but transformation is tricky. Or spend bigger bucks and get the combiner GX-31V Voltes V or GX-36 Ideon.

they did showt he old series here in america but they call it tranzor z and the main characters name is tommy not koji kabuto. i dont know they may show it here but if they do they better not mess it up like the old series.

Maybe because the first time they tried releasing it the show was highly edited for television purposes and then they did a faithful dub that was cut short for VHS, Afterwards they only released the Mazinkaiser OVAs many years later so that could be main a factor in that.
