Same principle can be applied to gossip, slander, false testimony etc. As christians we use our tongue to sing, give praise and pray to God and we can't use our tongue to gossip and destroy a soul.

There are christians tolerating this iniquity and drinking it like it's water. It's kind of discouraging to see this, sometimes you can't tell the difference between hollywood and self-professed body of Christ now :(

Do you actually believe that these scriptures have to do with using a bad word? Cursing your neighbors is not just using a "bad" word. Language --is not love itself a language? Should not the communication of our concepts in our hearts be what we are worried about, rather than someone saying, "Shit"? You don't have to use profanity to curse God, you can do so simply by lying or even by tone. Could it not be that using a "bad" word is the outside of the cup? Shouldn't we worry about the inside?
