Well, there should be MUCH bigger issues about all this than just whether or not A-Rod did steroids, as brought to my attention just now. As it turns out, the Feds (who are most likely the ones who leaked this to the media) got their hands on A-Rod's test results in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment. The Feds had a search warrant to seize the results of only TEN players during the BALCO investigation, and A-Rod was NOT among those ten players.

Even a negative test does not guarantee a player to be clean, for two particular reasons. One, the rogue labs making these anabolic steroids are always trying to stay one step ahead of the drug testing (BALCO did that for a long time, which explains how Marion Jones slipped through the cracks in the Olympics), and two, HGH still remains undetectable by modern drug testing. The fact of the matter is, we'll NEVER know who is completely clean.
In A-Rod's interview with Peter Gammons about the issue, he said that there are suppliments that were pulled from GNC's shelves because they were linked to positive tests. If that is indeed true, then one has to think about just how many players were taking tainted suppliments without knowing they were tainted, even though it usually gets dismissed as an "excuse".

Well, there are 103 other players who tested dirty in 2003, and Manny could be one of them (in fact, ANY player could be among those 103, even one we would automatically assume to be clean). And besides, the only reason the Feds got their hands on these test results in the first place was so they could nail Barry Bonds for perjury. Well, there should be MUCH bigger issues about all this than just whether or not A-Rod did steroids, as brought to my attention just now. As it turns out, the Feds (who are most likely the ones who leaked this to the media) got their hands on A-Rod's test results in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment. The Feds had a search warrant to seize the results of only TEN players during the BALCO investigation, and A-Rod was NOT among those ten players.

Even a negative test does not guarantee a player to be clean, for two particular reasons. One, the rogue labs making these anabolic steroids are always trying to stay one step ahead of the drug testing (BALCO did that for a long time, which explains how Marion Jones slipped through the cracks in the Olympics), and two, HGH still remains undetectable by modern drug testing. The fact of the matter is, we'll NEVER know who is completely clean.

In A-Rod's interview with Peter Gammons about the issue, he said that there are suppliments that were pulled from GNC's shelves because they were linked to positive tests. If that is indeed true, then one has to think about just how many players were taking tainted suppliments without knowing they were tainted, even though it usually gets dismissed as an "excuse".

Well, there are 103 other players who tested dirty in 2003, and Manny could be one of them (in fact, ANY player could be among those 103, even one we would automatically assume to be clean). And besides, the only reason the Feds got their hands on these test results in the first place was so they could nail Barry Bonds for perjury. A-Rod's test results had to have been leaked to the media by someone involved with the Bonds case...possibly by Bonds, himself.

One would assume that Albert Pujols will never be busted, since mandatory testing began in Pujols' 4th year in the majors, but even today, you'll never know who's dirty, because not only are the steroid labs continuously trying to stay one step ahead of the drug testing, but also because HGH still cannot be detected by modern testing.
As for Manny Ramirez, I would not be surprised if he gets busted. In fact, I'm predicting that Manny will be the next star to get busted.

Canseco's been right about everything regarding this issue so far. And according to him, A-Rod, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, Bonds, Clemens, and the other high-profile guys linked to this were NOT the only ones doing steroids. In fact, Canseco claims that while steroids were still legal in baseball, 85% of all Major Leaguers were doing this shit! Since there was no testing at the time, there is no way of knowing exactly who accounted for the other 15% who were clean.

If history is any indication of this, then A-Rod will NOT be the last high-profile player linked to allegations of steroid use in baseball. He will simply be the Poster Child for the Steroids In Baseball until the NEXT high-profile player has such allegations against him surface; just like McGwire and Sosa were before Bonds; just like Bonds was before Clemens; and just like Clemens was before A-Rod. Who the next one will be is anybody's guess.

The Feds obtained all the players (104 players) that tested positive from Gene orzo back in 2003/2004 and Jose must have known this and/or was under oath y the Feds not to mention info about the specific details.
