I listen to this song at least once a day, and it's always stuck in my head! ;) It is such a beautiful song. You are a very talented artist, Justin! Everyone should know about your music!
It's my most beloved song. I have listened to this song for more than 100 times.
I would prefer a less scary video, but as a greek i can understand that the director was influenced by the ancient greek myth of Orpheus & Eurydice, which is such a dramatic story...It' s hard to believe that your songs are not so well-known, for me they are more than amazing. Thank you!!!
god damn this is beautiful, so glad I found this and Favorited because until now I actually took the time to listen to all of it and watched the whole video. Simply great.
Hehe. I keep coming back to this video nearly every day (having just found it) and I cannot help but comment on it again! 'Tis just so very exquisitely beautiful. I find the players in it, incredibly good. Curious how I can sometimes sit through a film say and not feel so moved by the actors in 2-hours, but these few minutes truly move me.
I have been listening to Sleepthief for awhile now but have only now started watching the videos. Simply enchanting--both the music and the videos.
Along with specific Enigma videos and Enya's video for, "The Celts," i think this one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen I am an avid lover of the Greek myths and the tale of Orpheus and his beloved Eurydice is among my favourites.
What heartbreaking and striking images--what exquisite lyrics! I actually relate to this video; I had a past life recollection dream many years ago when I was a teenager and it portrayed a tragical love such as this one. I find this very touching. Very.
The story of Eurydice always one of my favorites from Greek mythology. The song is so beautifully done, and the imagery was absolutely beautiful. The scene of Orpheus leading her out of hell brought a tear to my eye, knowing what was to happen next.. Fantastic-- that's all I can say.
Just watching this video again, so I can thumbs up it, and get refreshed on the video itself, as I was reminded of this from watching Christopher Anton's new music video, thinking about beauty/love, forest theme, and of course, the loveliness of this song, as well. I suppose I may not be quite as familiar with the theme of the video, as I thought I was, and I don't want to take the meaning of it the wrong way either. I love it, nonetheless, as well as the song itself.
However, to me, the song and the video reminds me of a person's feelings for someone whom they love, but also feel hurt by, as well. They are torn between the love and the pain, expressing their hurt, but also devoted to them, as well, despite that pain. Again though, I don't intend to take the meaning which Justin, Jody, and Andrew had for this song and video, the wrong way. Hopefully my idea of it, is at least somewhat close to the official meaning of it.
I love, love, love this song and the video is perfect. I have always been fascinated by this story. So heartbreaking. The song captures the emotion perfectly. The singing is amazing.
with «world gone crazy» this is one of my favourite songs from Sleepthief
the video is really beautiful, even not catching the story on it i think that it passes a message that even we cant underatand it took our hearts with some kind of feeling...
This is quite possibly one of the most artistically beautiful and soul stirring videos I've ever seen. I wasn't aware of the story of Eurydice when I first watched the video. After I read up on it and watched the video (and really listened to the lyrics of the song) again, it held so much more meaning for me. The scenes alternating between joy and pain (2:27-3:12) are just hauntingly beautiful.
Keep up the great work, Justin! Just got Labyrinthine Hearts today, and its simply beautiful :) I will continue to promote your work among my friends and loved ones and I will continue to be inspire by your music in my art :) I hope to have more Sleepthief related art up soon on my deviantart account. take care my friend :)
Still one of my personal all-time song favorites, and love the tale the video shares. Can't get enough, always seem to come back for more. Thank you Justin and Jody for the music, and to the director who did an amazing job capturing it visually!
i want to thank you as well; for posting this, that is. it's still my favorite music video, period, and probably will always be my favorite. even to see it just a little larger is fantastic. i really must give my regards to the cinematographer(s).
The earth gives, the earth will take away, and claim what is hers. Once again we all return to the earth, and no matter what-true love will always find a way....even if it is in death. I have, and always will love this video...My favorite still! :) Much love to you J....Jen :)
I absolutely love this song and video! The video is just so visually appealing. Definitely a lot more creative than some music videos out there. I really look forward to the new album! :D

If videos had as much substance as this, perhaps all the nastiness we see would just go away

Completely awed and stunned. it was amazing. does the snake have any particular theme to this song?
k12kyle 1 year ago
@k12kyle The snake bit Eurydice; that's what killed her and sent her to Hades.
