Hi, very impressive results. Do you use your projector to illuminate the calibration pattern? or do have your projector switched off during camera calibration?
Recieved k11 today. I can see that these scans will come out excellent behind the horizontal lines that i cannot get rid of. Much better! Would you know what i may be doing wrong or a setting that i am not adjusting right? I copied your settings but just cannot seem to get rid of the lines. thanks
In regards to the 30/60fps, where is a setting for this in David? Isnt it controlled by the camera? Or are you using some other software to control the logitech webcam?
I purchased the upgrade last night and tried using my old projector but the bulb needs to be replaced as it has a faint offset double in the picture. I was looking around for the acer seeings the price seems reasonable compared to the $3500.00 one i have now but could not wait and went out and dropped $600.00 on an epson ex5210. Not sure is the best for the application and i have been messing with it all day with slow results. Would you have any suggestions? Im getting verticle lines. Thanks
Acer C20 (bad), Acer H5360BD (bad) Acer K11 (good). I do not know what it is, where the differences are. I think the 800x600 pixel LED projector is currently one of the best results yet at a good price.
Hello. On Davids site it says the structured light does not pick up as much detail as the laser. Seems to me that you are getting great detail with this setup. How would you compare it to the laser? I use the same camera and looks like the projector is very inexpensive. After seeing the level of detail, i am leaning more towards an upgrade. Thanks for the video.
Vertical 33,29°
Horizontal 0,03°

this is great, really clean surfaces. did you try to scan bigger objects? could you estimate max. suitable object size for this setup please?

@fexisgood
Double size goes with this projector.
For larger objects would have a bigger / brighter projector will be used. But I have not tried it yet.

The pixels you refer to. Are these the projector pixels? Or the camera pixels?

@barrymorisse
The pixels are of the webcam. The projector has always 800x600

Important!
The frequency of exposure must comply with the webcam, otherwise there are interferences. I always use 30 or 60 fps

@nigzit
David controlled the Logitech Software. You can use David or Logitech Software.

Are you setting up the calibration corner opposing direction? If so does this give you better scans?

@cgrcjet
Yes, I have less light reflections from the beamer

I have tested with David 3:
Acer C20 (bad), Acer H5360BD (bad) Acer K11 (good). I do not know what it is, where the differences are. I think the 800x600 pixel LED projector is currently one of the best results yet at a good price.

I can only say, with structured light I have much better results than with my laser.
And the best part is, without a calibration panel in background.
