One's religion is not one's "ideas"... Some people who believe in a religion, actually believe it to be a reality, like their son, daughter, mother etc. You don't insult these things. Freedom of speech is one thing, but insulting others is an abuse of ones right of free speech. Yes, people can die when something as sacred as ones family or one's belief is attacked verbally. Just because one person doesn't have such endearment to religion, doesn't mean everyone is the same.

Women are not lesser people in Islam. E.g. for every man that coverts to Islam, 4 women convert in the US. Infact, top British judges have suggested the use of Sharia rulings for domestic issues in court. Islam teaches restraint in abundance, but only to attack in self- or religious defence or property... i.e. the middle way. The Quran, as the last of Gods revelations, calls for people to come into Islam. I pray that you change your mind and come into Islam too.
