  • are these engine directly couple to the wheels

  • Is that the same power car from sulphide street station in broken hill

  • Great vid!! How much horsepower/torque does one individual engine produce? Put together? Whats the operating RPM? Thanks!

    Again, great stuff!

  • They are each rated at 260 Hp @ 2000Rpm with 90cc injectors not shore about torque im guessing round 700 or 800 ft/lbs at a lower rpm ? There is 4 of these babys in the 1 power van so she has just over 1000Hp

  • Awesome, thanks for the info!

  • You oughta see what one of them engines will do in a '74 Western Star down the blacktop at 'bout 3800 with a hundredpounder of propane goin into it!

  • when will it be up and running?

  • It will be a while not shore exactly when ? The power van is operational as you see in this video but there is still a lot of restoration work to be done on the carriages and power van. Mechanically basically everything works just minor repairs an adjustments need to be done

  • a railcar with engines where the passengers should be?

normally engines r under floor, why didnt they just fit one engine rather than 4?

could have used saved space for passengers, had engine at front like them french railcars.

  • it had carriages for hauling as opposed to a CPH or 620/720 or DEB set

  • Thank you for this i use to catch the Comet Orange to Broken Hill and back all the time unil its demise. Now looking at the heart of the train.
