Hey, dude! I have a video tutorial on explaining how it works! Scroll my videos, it's probably under the ten last vids in my uploads section! let me know how far you got with that and specify on your question....greetz from Berlin! Michael

  • hahaha, yeah, you're right. actually this wasn't the reason, i mean, i really didn't want chords cauze i felt these would overload the idea of the parts sound which i originally had in mind...nevertheless from your point of view you're exactly right, no, i wouldn't do that...:-). you could use Ableton Live to add some voices and to produce chords by using some nice free programmable midi instruments and effects. that would be truly a way how to do it! greeeeeetz!

  • this sounds a bit like movie music :-) but how do you get this bell sound like music from your roland drumkit ?

  • Heyhey,

this is indeed music which I wrote for a friend who works as a director in Shanghai. The bell sounds are sounds which I took out of the TD12 module but I edited them a lot and pitched them to fit the melody which I had in mind for the tune. I recorded it as Midi, edited it once again in Ableton Live and converted it into audio before mastering the whole track.

  • cool way to make music :-) it may sound simple, but i guess chords or using more different voices would have been time consuming :-) keep on rocking.
