Yeah you could buy this for $200. Or you could buy a Raspberry Pi for $25 and use a system with way more features that may be a fair bit slower but overall much more worth the 1/8 of the price of this that it costs.
Too expensive. I can buy a Kindle Fire and root it. It would have less power/memory, but be fully functional with a touchscreen. WTF - why are these morons clawing for money for this thing? You can keep it. I AM going to be buying 4-5 Raspi's using that money tho... :)
THATS AMAZING BUT!!! The Question is does it have a tracking device GPS no matter where I walk with it will my EVERY STEP will be tracked IF so stick that FXI up your ASSSS
the Raspberry Pi proves that the "bare-metal" of such a micro-PC costs less than 50$, and everything is made in China anyway - so I don't really see the point in buying a slightly better hardware plus what is essentially a 4GB memory stick, for the price of 8 (!) bare-metal RP's...
these guys could have started a revolution in the sense that Micro-PCs don't have to be embarrassingly weak - but instead they just got greedy :(

@roidroid Yeah it's a really cool idea. I just imagine when these ARM chipsets and devices have 2GB+ of RAM. Just for browsing and light media tasks for a device like this would be a great experience. I'm wondering if they're working on some kind of all in one dock solution to have HDMI output coupled with extra USB ports to get a easier, out of the box user experience with this.
@osunamex actually, all things considered, this is totally worth it. a USB stick with the power, if not more than a netbook, and considerably cheaper.

Once I noticed the green screen in the background, all I could think of for the rest of the video was MPAA.

if this device is done properly, the possibilities are staggering.
but considering it's only $200 - even if it's NOT done properly people will probably just hack them and MAKE them proper.

@JustOneMorgan i think i see an HDMI connector sticking out the right side, but it might be just me.
(ie: one side has a USB, the other a HDMI)
roidroid 3 months ago
@roidroid Yeah it does. But I think it'd be cool if they had a dock solution that added extra USB ports to this for keyboards and the like.
JustOneMorgan 3 months ago
@JustOneMorgan just plug a usb hub onto that single USB connector, eeeeasy

@zwekz in time, probably. Right now i doubt it. It probably runs a custom OS (non-windows), and they didn't mention any internal data storage.
