  • Might wanna tear that motor down and rebuild it and afterwards give that carb a nice tune, and maybe play with the timing :)

  • @saschertz I had my 78 with a 350 sitting in -20,-30 c weather for two months through a starter in it and it fired right up

  • if u lift them without lifting the steering box ur steering will suck.... test it out

  • @ Ibaicoinx

Tell my something i didn't already know I said "it makes driving one so much funner"

so quit trying to start and argument

  • dont run to good lol

  • cold blood

  • I love how chevy's are so unreliable feel like there going to fall apart it makes driving one so much funner

  • @TheSteelhead15 its because its winter and its cold and not fuel injection stupid....

  • @TheSteelhead15 i dont talk shit about trucks i like ford and chevy but my chevys have held up better than my fords or dodges

  • I believe i am hearing a gear drive? is that right hah?

  • @SwidboyLP yep

  • gotta love the old chevy's in the winter, especially tryin to start them!

  • Is that truck a 4 speed?

  • @Thinker669 i beleive so

  • OH HELL YEAH, GUNN THAT 350. Sweet ass truck. looks tough with the bull bar and lift kit. Like a Rock!

  • I love the cranking, stalling, and more cranking! awesome

  • Sounds like it had a few too many below zero starts! Or just needs a tune up..

  • needs to take off those glasspacks and put on flowmasters

  • @chico280 idk, if its a really strong engine, sometimes they dont like to start no matter what weather is :P

  • some one cant drive standerd

  • some of that starting sounded painful :S

  • nice truck.. mines gonna look like taht by the end of summer. my paints almost exact but the brown on yours is like a rusty color on mine

  • nice video. i like the cranking

  • sorry i like it but it just sounds ....not good but very impressed it started up in the winter

  • can body lifts take a good amount of punishment in terms of off-roading? or do suspension lifts have more/better off-road capabilities?

  • dude i wouldnt try offroading in one of those there meant for pulling not offroading

  • dude you sound like a dumbass these trucks are meant for watever you build them for! mines a daily drive, they can be mud trucks, rock crawlers, sand dune trucks, and show trucks, and thats not a good truck to be a pull truck cuz its not a 1 ton! get yur facts straight! i can tell you don't wrench alot! you should just stick to spectating! lol

  • that and the 73-80 body style trucks are better cuz they have the full-floater 14 bolt rearend in e'm!

  • @steuckdaniel only in the 3/4 & one ton models. Half tons came with a corporate 12 bolt with c-clip axles.

  • i actualy like this truck most chevys and dodges act up in the winter nice truck d00d

  • lol those chevy's are a bitch to start in the cold. lol you have to get out there an hour early to just warm the engine up.

  • Same with my Chevy.

  • not sure i would have to ask my bro..

  • nice truck. do you have the starter shimmed?

  • DO NOT SHIM STARTERS!!!

  • Why?

  • My friend got his shimmer and his starter blew right after.

  • But why do people shim starters? do the car facrory shim starters?

  • I dont really understand it either.

    And no.

    Not that i know of.

  • Do why do people shim starters? To get a sound ?

  • No its not a sound, maybe to decrease starting times or maybe its easier on the Flywheel. i really dont know

  • Woud think the factory enginers knows best how to make it last.

  • You would. but then thats like saying Stock cars and trucks should have edelbrock crate engines and flowmaster mufflers and lifts.

    Custom is custom.

  • Indeed.

  • the way i understand it they shim the starters on some of these rigs because the clearance when the gears mesh is too tight. my friend has a couple chevy's and i asked him the same question.

  • that only applies if the starter has DO NOT USE SHIMS stamped on it if it dont got that shims are usually nessasarry for it to have the proper gear tooth patern and not bottom out in the bottom of the ring gear
