  • 1. Maryland is below the mason/dixon line yes that would make maryland a southern state

    2. Lincoln invoked Marshall law on Maryland

    3. Maryland was a slave state until 1864

4 Maryland invaded by Northern scum. Lincoln feared that DC would be surrounded by the confederacy.

    5. Read about the Pratt street riots in Baltimore which was pro confederacy.

    6. All confederate admirals in confederate navy came the naval academy in annapolis, MD. I could go on and on but you get the point.

  • Why do you stupid slow southerners still even care about the war that happened like 200 yrs ago. Get over it! Just because it is illegal for you idiots to lock innocent black people up doesnt mean you should wine about how the south will rise again. Morons!

  • Well im a marylander and im atheist and a strong liberal that believes in gay rights, honestly there are to many northern attributes to consider it culturally a true southern state. It is more mid atlantic than southern.

  • 1. Maryland lies beneath the mason dixon line

    2. Slave state until 1864

    3. 23,000 Marylanders fought for the confederacy

    4. Pratt street riots Baltimore

5..Lincoln placed Maryland under marshall law

    6. Better research a little more.

  • @MultiTrigger69 Marylanders favored the Union army 2-1. Southern does not equal Confederate.

  • Thats the sad issue in Maryland. We are a southern state but we have so many transplants from up north that it makes the state lose alot of its identity. Its sad that we went from the old south to being classified as a southern state and having a rich history as one to being called a northern state. Its an insult.

  • Too bad technology has killed the old way of southern life; the New South is nearly as progressive as the Yankee way of life. Even festivals are increasingly merging with the technology; look at Atlanta for instance; you may find some events that "commemorate" their southern heritage; but most people work for the 21st century, not the 19th (or even mid-20th when the "n" word and Jim Crow was still around). It's 100% NEW SOUTH!

  • Fuck you dumbass southern cunt fucks. Maryland as the south? Really? Do you even know the fucking state? Where it is? Who the people are? I defy anyone to give me just one reason in their claim that the state's in the south.

    Good luck, sister-fuckers.

  • @Fletch8600 Maryland was pretty much "The South" up until the 1950s or 60s but has culturally moved away from that. The Confederacy claimed MD as one of its own even though it never seceded (much like Missouri an d Kentucky) and there were MD units in the Confederate army as well as the Union army. MD once had a tobacco plantation economy that was heavily dependent on slavery. MD is what we call a "border state." That said I'm a hardcore Union man, but MD *was* the South, but not anymore.

  • @Fletch8600 uuuhh, it is south of the MAson-Dixon Line, a line the geographically puts it in the south? In the united states offical definitions it is in the south-eastern part of the country? theres two, you fucking idiot, stop acting like you know everything and look some shit up. I do know Maryland, Ive lived here my whole life, and it is NOT a northern state.

  • @lovetotubeit,

I know that parts of Maryland are southern with sweet tea and Nascar, but is Baltimore still a southern city?

  • @MegaAstrodude

No, youre right, it is not. It has become a majoritaly black city with lots of really bad neighberhoods, with a couple of really nice rich white areas. However, many of the white people who live in Baltimore are more southern than northern. I cannot argue that Baltimore is a southern city, but I do believe the state as a whole is more towards a southern tendancy.

  • God is with us. We will prevail. Constitutional Government will be restored one day and real freedom returned. Davis knew this. An out of control "King of The Hill" Empire is self destructive. We will be free we just have to keep up the good fight and hold on to all we hold dear.

  • @Luigi84289 and just one more thing: I've always thought of MD. as the south. But I recently drove to Norfolk down through Delmarva and when I got to the VA. border there was a sign that read: "Dixieland- the south starts here"...so obviously the "southern states" don't recognize Md. as a southern state. Hey, to me it is...it's below the mason dixon. But also, Delaware is southern as hell to me, at least slower lower De....but it's considered a northern state? this stuff confuses me.

  • God save the South! God save Maryland!

  • The 2 most famous people from Maryland: Francis Scott Key & Barbara Fritchie

Francis Scott Key wrote The Star Spangled Banner

Barbara Fritchie was an old woman in Frederick, MD. When the Confederates were marching thru Frederick threatening to fire the town, they took $100k ransom not to. The Confederates shot up the American flag displayed on the front of her house.

  • Thanks you for recognizing Maryland as a Confederate state! My ancestors fought for the Confederacy, and all were from Maryland! Deo Vindice!

  • AMEN!!

  • I just wanted to let all of you in this whole "north and south" debate know that it is 2010 and you need to move on with your lives. pathetic. and I'm from PA and now live in Maryland....eastern shore to be exact and it isn't any different here than where I'm from in the mountains of PA. get over yourselves.

  • @SuperBrandone It's sad you are one of the masses brainwashed by propaganda. We live in an out of control oligarchy. An empire. We will continue to fight for our freedom and heritage until we are free once more. Until the states have the ability to Govern their people and be our voice once again. To keep the Feds in their place.

  • @Luigi84289 I would think I'm the last person to be brainwashed. I think the government is waaaay outta control. I'm just sayin' that I obviously was born and raised in Northeast PA...so I'm a "yankee"..but I moved to the eastern shore, and the only difference I "hear" is a slight southern accent. Other than that it's just like where I'm from; small towns, farms, hardworking people just trying to do the right thing and raise their families. I don't see a big difference between north and south.

  • maryland is a southern state why do you think it is known as the old line state? maybe its the cut off point?

  • Could be, anything North of it is

    non-Southern lol

  • @walbashi25 Yup. Mason territory starts above it and to the west.

  • excellent video. thank you for helping to spread the truth about Maryland.

    Deo Vindice

  • No problem at all, just trying to do my part. -Deo Vindice

  • Actually ive met quite a few peple from Arizona who support the Confederacy, but I know what you mean, that's why it's up to us to gain their trust once more.

  • Good point, many people have allied themselves with us Confederates, people who 10 years ago would have never thought of it. People dont trust the government like they used too, the official story of the war included.

  • Well that's probably true, but still.

  • 5/5

The Union has brought more pain and suffering along with ever greater tyranny than they have of any thing else for the South.

  • Exactely, big government, poverty in the years following the war, and constant attacks by illegal immigrants, due to their lazy ass immigration laws. LOsing the war was the worst thing to ever happen to the Southern people.

  • if its under the mason dixon line then it is a southern state. And in Arizona and New Mexico there are still secessionist movements present.

  • I agree, Maryland is a border state so I think that's why they're a little different today then they were during the war, but as far as the rest of the Southern states, we've been able to preserve our culture still, despite the union attempts at cultural genocide.

  • Well I dont know about any culture differences, but the only thing that kep the state legislature from approving a secession order was the arrest of several of it's members, even Chief Justice Tainey, A Maryland native, was nearly arrested by Licnoln because he disagreed with Lincolns arrest of the state legislature members. So either they were going to secede and join the Confederacy, or atleast secede and become their own Republic.

  • Thats because all the southrons moved out of Maryland after the war because of the carpetbagging yankees invading their homeland and it stays that way to this day.

  • Yeah that seems like what happened, you cant really blame them either, being so close to the union capitol and all, of course they would travel further South.

  • I am one of the native Marylanders who actually knows we a Southern state!!!!

  • Lol glad to hear it!

  • Yeah they've kind of been invaded over the years, probably because of D.C. being there, i'm sure if you had asked a Marylander that same question 100 years ago the answer would have been much different.

  • As always great video brother!!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks man! -Deo Vindice

  • It would be a lot harder to get Maryland to secede nowadays because like russian said there aren't many southerners left. Not to mention Washington DC is in Maryland and on the other side of the Potomac River is Virginia. It would be like West Berlin inside East Germany and the Federal Government would really hate that.

Also I think Virginia wouldn't be able to secede because I don't think there are too many proud Southerners there either and too many Leftists.

  • Yeah they've been invaded, being a Floridian I know how that is lol but im sure there's still a few true Southrons in Maryland.

I dont know about Virginia though, ive met alot of Southrons there, and even though there might be alot of non-Confederates there, that's why it's up to us to get them to support us and and come over to our side.

  • I've been thinking, there may not be a lot of proud Southerners in those states anymore but, how many of them do you think are Constitutional Conservatives and Libertarians? They may not be proud Southerners but if the US keeps going down the road of Socialism they will likely feel the same way you do.

  • Yeah alot of non-Confederates are starting to see us Confederates in a different light, probably because they see we are simply Liberty loving people the same as them.

  • Ugh...definitely WAY too many yankees here in Florida.

  • Yeah I definately agree with you there lol got into a "debate" about the war with one from Michigan just today lol

  • Heh those conversations never end well. Just tell them that big 10 football is worthless. They will stomp off and cry, leaving you in blissful silence.

  • There are a whole lot less Southerners in Maryland than say, North Carolina, when I went to Maryland, all I saw was yuppies.

  • Oh you've been to Maryland?

  • yes though it is a fictional story the book gray riders tells of a young maryland boy who joins the southern cavalry as a messenger.

  • I'll have to try and find that book, sounds pretty good. -Deo Vindice

  • Well you can tell they're not Southern by the people that live there. haha

  • what are you talking about? Plenty of southerners still resided in maryland. The yanks have invaded that state like all the rest of the south.

  • Well unfortunately it's been overrun by yankees lol but im sure there's still a few true Southrons there.

  • Good lesson ! I admire your energy making all this cool vids, Go on. Deo Vindice !

  • Well thanks man! -Deo Vindice

  • Wonder how we would have ended if the south would have won.

  • Things would have been alot better, I guarantee slavery would be long dead by now and the government wouldn't be interfering in everyones lives the way it is now.
