this is 2.0 k20a civic fd2 in Malaysia due to gear paddle-shift at the steering wheel..fd 1.8 with r18 engine dont have paddle-shift..normal everyday daily teacher driving civic,none enormous si or geourgeous type r..btw,jcracing is a tuner at sunway,selangor,malaysia..

OMG. Some of you people dont know shit! Why you people doubt 4 cylinder engines and their potential. all these cars now a days are governed and limited! b series and k series honda engines can reach those speeds with NA setups and proper aero styling on the car. J's racing's s2k can hit 159 on the road and its na with 295ps right now with the 2010 setup. spoons fd2 can hit 150 and it only has 245ps NA. 4 cylinder cars can be powerful too guys.

doing dyno and showing speed excess of 250km/h? I would like to see if this car can atually break 225km/h on the road with the air resistance. At that speed, 80%-90% of horse power is used to fight the air resistance.

@jay92leow It´s on a dyno wich didn´t make the speed reading verry accurate. Do that on a highway, the autobahn or whaterver you call your streets with multiply lanes where you live. Without wind resistance My B18 Sol can do over 260 as well. And the engine is bone stock...

No it's not an engine swap. He's using the ultimate e-manage system from G-Reddy. It's an ECU piggyback that lets you remove the rev limiter and redline the car at the intended 8K. It also removes the speed limiter, and a rev gain limiter on the civic (Thats right, acceleration is gimped on these engines and the R18s). Think about it, LX civics have as big an engine as older SI's, as well as two overhead cams, one is turned off by the iVTech system at low RPMs to keep fuel economy up.

um, are you saying that a cam is turned of? dont you mean it switches to different valves.

No I mean it turns one cam lobe off. So the R18A1 engine has two sets of cam lobes, a low output, and a high output. Above 4000 RPMs both the low and high output cam lobes open up and your fuel economy goes to crap because the i-Vtech system is not keeping your car in fuel economy mode. The e-manage system can make it to where both cam lobes are open all the time producing more power and torque earlier.

the blue lights indicate that it is not a si the 06 07 08 si come with the k20z3 or the 2.0 all the other ex lx etc. come with 1.8 so it has a 1.8 ( blue lights in the car = ex lx/red lights =si)
