Penguins fans are very knowledgeable about hockey. They've had pro hockey in Pittsburgh since the 1920's and the Pittsburgh Hornets were a farm club for the Detroit Red Wings for most of the years up until 1967. Pittsburgh had an NHL team long before Denver... unless you're counting the laughable Colorado Rockies! What happened to them? Pittsburgh has more Stanley Cups then the Av's... so who cares what Av's fans think.

As an Avs fan I have a mad respect for the Red wings as a team and as a organization. They have all their lines full of great players and none of them is a lottery pick since Red Wings manage to get to the playoffs year after year. But look at Crosby and especially the Pens fans. No class at all and the fans have no knowledge of hockey because most of them started watching hockey 5 years ago and the Pens organization having being bankrupt proves it.

For the two teams that have the two most overrated players in a while and Pens got it for the second time. As much as I would like to see a Winter Classic between the Avs and Red Wings the original six teams deserve it even more. BUT NO! How about Canadiens @ Rangers Bettman? Wings are original I know.

@kiba2001 Well there's a reason Red WIngs have been the most successful team in the league for the past two decades and that is what the Avs lack. The use of European players. For example both conference leading teams' key players consist mainly of European players while we have only Hejduk. You've had Russian 5 and now have one of the best defenceman of all time and the best all-around player atm.. And at the last draft you got Jarnkrok and Pulkkinen. At the next U-20 I'll be watching those two

And I agree with you man, I have more respect for the Avs then I do anyone else. The Penguins are a joke with a bunch of bandwagon fans, same with the Caps, Blackhawks, and Flyers. I can't waite for the Avs to get their balls back, hockey will be back to normal when that happens.

Penguins fans are very knowledgeable about hockey. They've had pro hockey in Pittsburgh since the 1920's and the Pittsburgh Hornets were a farm club for the Detroit Red Wings for most of the years up until 1967. Pittsburgh had an NHL team long before Denver... unless you're counting the laughable Colorado Rockies! What happened to them? Pittsburgh has more Stanley Cups then the Av's... so who cares what Av's fans think.

I have looked in depth at the numbers. This kid was supposed to be "the next Gretzky" which through five years is LAUGHABLE at best...in fact, if you look at the stats, it's only marginally debatable that through the first five years of their respective careers, Eric Lindros was better
as has been said, yes, many of the same things were said about Gretzky as far as being protected by the refs, etc., but Gretzky never had the air of entitlement about his game that Criesby has
