The retro has a amazing distance shot if you know how to handle it.

The SOS is Talentless perfection. Anyone can use it.

The ONLY issue I have with this game is the handicap it gives great/terrible players.

blinding going someone where to get the shotgun kills they may have earlier gotten. I played all of the Gears and i played competitively. This game is far more balanced. it has guns that prevent random shotgun battles throughout the map. it has a gun that will allow ANYONE (bc i have seen and played with Gears PROs who use the sawed-off) to come in quick and break up a potential post-up by a team. the gnasher still has a TON of power the range at which you can at least put damage on someone.

what i think (and i dont mean to offend) is that people are failing to realized WHY epic has done what they have. Gears 1 was a very solid game, but had fundamental flaws that ruined the game for A. people who didnt have the best internet connection B. focused on team play more than individual success. Epic made gears to be HEAVY on team play shooting someone from cover preventing them for advancing to a spot. Now with Gears 3 you will have more cover fire, you'll have guys thinking before

@LucKshoT16 no i agree with you that it may effect "vets" of the gears franchise, but thats the problem Gears 2 was irrelevant and Gears 1 was just one big gnasher battle with guys roling around. there wasnt much true team skill going on. ALOT of it was random kills luck here or there. Plus without the dedicated servers 1 person had a cannon for a shotgun (which is what the SOS is now only with longer range) Epic made gears with cover in mind lets love the game that actually achieves this

listen the sawed-off isnt a "noob" weapon it adds depth to the game. all this talk about how gears isnt what it used to be is a good thing....NOBODY played gears 2. it was so buggy, and all it was, was one big gnasher battle. the game was based on a cover system with flanking, team-work and strategy. not random kills while wall-bouncing

The point of the Sawed-Off id do that if you are noob at the game it gives you a viable chance to at least get A kill against veteran players. GoW3 is not just for hardcore players but for casual gamers as well. At least thats how I see it.

Plus the spawns were a strait shot to the field, without having the small curve in the hall. Forced a lot of spawn camping in TDM during the beta.

@wenomz97 They actually some of the maps in the beta for the purposes of balancing issues; Trenches was far to easy to spawn camp and the weapon balancing made it extremely easy especially when they introduced the hammer of dawn. The other maps have been tweaked slightly as well, but Trenches went under the most change as far as I know. These changes were not made just for MLG.
