@lmarcus461 We can't make enough antimatter to do anything efficiently with it yet. Any antimatter engine produced now would cost billions, and that includes even a car engine. The Japanese centrifuge isn't going to produce 1G for the human crew. It will be for science experiments.
@lmarcus461 I said several kms across because smaller ones can cause disorientation when spinning at high enough speeds to create 1G.
Ares (Constellaton) was unsustainable. VSE was good in theory. In practice it wasn't. Ares I-X alone cost 500 million for the rocket., yet they spent 5 billion on CxP before it even flew without any real way to explain how. Ares V was expected to cost 49 billion dollars. Total amount spent thus far is 9 billion on the Ares program. We're glad it was canceled.
@lmarcus461 There's never been a plan for a centrifuge because to make one that was functional and didn't cause orientation problems, it'd need to be several kms across. NASA can't do a moon base unless congress backs it, and congress won't back it without the public writing their congressman telling them to fund NASA. That's all there is to it. No bucks, no Buck Rogers. If it was as easy as you make it sound, everyone would have centrifuges and space stations...and reusable spacecraft.
its nice but, the iss project was a NASA diversion to avoid "going back to the moon" , its a great idea, dont get me wrong however it diverts our thinking to beyond the earth, which is what NASA wanted in 2000 when the Moon hoax was born. very sad indeed.
@Jakesnake321z The ISS had nothing to do with going back to the moon or not. There's no hoax to be had. Fox just had nothing better to do. Japan has photographed our evidence, and we send laser ranging to the moon pretty often, reflected back by a reflector that only humans could have assembled on the moon in the days of Apollo.
The ISS was a collaboration with 15 other countries to develop science, tech, and experience in LEO. While spacevidcast would love a moon trip, ISS is still amazing.
Good job guys, but can you talk less please, we know a lot of things and the things that we don't know we want to know it from the experts or from the live actions. Please do me a favour, just show us what have you got to show us not you two a lot. If you manage to know a lot of facts just list them so i can get to the point quickly.

@applesweeter BEcause if your grangrangrangrangrandchildren will die in our planet, they will remember guy who stoped advance to space, and searching new planets to colonise :)
There's a mountain of evidence that the Apollo moon missions were faked. I posted a partial summary of it on a science forum. Google "The Naked Scientists". In the "New Theories" section of the forum there's a thread entitled "Did We Land on the Moon?". The summary is on page 15. It's the 7th post from the top.
People who still think they went to the moon simply haven't seen the hoax evidence yet.
NASA needs to get a sponsor for there webcam.. Like canon or nikon, one of those big camera manufactures could donate 4 Different focal length lenses and attach a 15 megapixil camera then sell downloads for a few bucks each.. I could give coordinates to my house with a 400mm or 600mm lenses and at the appropriate time the picture would be taken and anyone could download it from the server
Newtons 3rd law .. you can google that. or think of a runner starts running ... he pushes against the startblocks (dont know the word) where he puts his feet at ... they were pushed back when he pushes himself forward
ever used a weapon ? feeld the backstroke? your position doesnt change, cause you stand on the ground ... in space there is no ground so it will change the direction of the ISS
That depends on the mass of the two objects. If you were on a ship and fired a pistol, it wouldn't make much difference in the trajectory of the ship. The ISS weighs about 500,000 lbs. throwing or shooting anything would have negligible effects on the ISS. Google F=ma.
It really blows my mind how people will make such bold statements without first doing the research. nilbud, if you actually think this is live unedited feeds or at least pre approved to public viewing than maybe its you that needs a reality check. If you are implying that extraterestrails aren't real than I don't know where you've been because the only place in the world that still thinks this is North America. The rest of the world knows this as common knowledge.
Any particle hitting the ISS station is a potential danger to the ISS station because of the kinetic energy that the object has hitting the ISS station. Most of the objects orbiting at that altitude will have a velocity of 7.6 km/s or traveling at Mach 23.1. Potentially any debrit is a danger to the space station and orbiter.
Nasa doesn't do live broadcasts from space. This is a lie, this is due to the fact that there is too many unidentified objects that they do not want the public seeing. So Nasa has to filter all the video footage first before releasing the public. This was passed years ago due to National Security.
It's astonishing that you are as stupid as you clearly are but to publicly declare your tiny brained paranoid insane ramblings shows a fundamental level of damage. I'm surprised you can type and spell, look out behind you!
Just by the way, I don't want to get into this fight in any way... It's simply to point out that a few of the "descriptive" words you added don't really make sense.
if you throw, shoot, fire something straight at earth, it will not enter the atmosphere as quickly as if you threw, shot, fired something directly back along the V-bar.
Wonder how stations will look in the year2036 and year 2044 and 2058

Dear All,
I have some question about psychology:
(1) Why do we want to travel to space?
(2) What motivate us to design and to build the International Space Station (ISS)?
(3) Why do want to live in space?
(4) What are the social values represented by International Space Satation (ISS)?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

1) Natural human inclination to discover the unknown and widen our horizons
2) in order to do research into the viability of sustaining life in space (primarily, obviously it has many other beneficial aspects)
3) because it offers lots of potential opportunities to further human knowledge, as well as just being cool
4) the values could be embodied by the idea of co-operation being invaluable, not just between nations but also in general
also there are countless peripheral benefits, e.g. tourism
