  • This is exactly what I had been looking for the past several days. I have been trying to make ugali following recipes that I found on the internet, and I think I have figured out what I had done wrong before. For those who are not familiar with it, it appears that that wooden spoon is a very important tool. They don't make plastic or metal spoons strong enough for this. My one question at this point is whether it is at all sticky when you do it right.

This food, Isitshwala, i know i'd luv it very much, we also eat lotsa of maize in my countrie, the dough, we call "nixtamal", after kneadin' it we bake it into tlaxcala(bread), something like flat bread and also eat with our fingers,.....5 stars for ya zulucowboymafana and tlaskamati(thanx)for sharin'! = )
