Maybe Russo should be fired, but Layfield should've been fired back in 1996, instead of boring us with his lame ass gimmicks like Justin Hawk Bradshaw, Blackjack Bradshaw, Acolyte Bradshaw, APA Bradshaw, Million Dollar Man Bradshaw.
This idiot went through more failed gimmicks than Cody Rhodes has and still kept his job.
@Djoneswag101. Big Show was a star already in WCW. Stone Cold character was created in ECW as was RVD. JBL is and never has been a draw. Lita is meh. The only ones that WWE actually created are Kane and Taker
@kimbalurver88 Hang on though man, Austin was still Steve Austin in ECW, the Stone Cold persona was a WWE creation. Shawn Michaels didnt get a singles push til the WWE, anywhere else he was nothing but a tag team wrestler or a job guy. The Rock was created by Dwayne Johnson in WWE. Newer guys like Randy Orton and John Cena are stars cuz of WWE
@LORDUnLuCkY13 Austin was brought into the WWE as The Ringmaster. Austin felt that with that crappy name he wasnt gonna go anywhere, so he suggested a gimmick that was somewhat cold-blooded to the WWE management. They proceeded to provide a list of names (including shit like Ice Dagger and Chilly McFreeze) and Stone Cold was on there. But you're right, most of it was Steve's own work, but it didn't come to fruition til WWE was my point
@Fultonfalcons86 That and they don't have wrestlemania.Shit even WCW had Starrcade which was pretty much the original Wrestlemania.Until Tna or any federation has an event that remotely competes with Mania WWE will always be number one.Like it or not.Mania itself could suck like last year and still sell millions more than any ppv
not the biggest fan of jbl, but vince russo needs to just leave out of respect of the buisness. if it wasnt for vince russo, owen hart would still be alive
@kimbalurver88 Evan Bourne John Cena Kofi Kingston Big Show Kane Undertaker Rock Stone Cold Edge Randy Orton Rvd Jeff Hardy Matt Hardy Lita Jbl I can go on
@Djoneswag101 Drew Mcintyre John Morrison Batista Christian the Miz R truth Triple H Wade Barrett Zack Ryder Sheamus Mark Henry William Regal Tyson Kidd CM PUNK Alberto Del Rio Batista Shawn Micheals the fuck do you mean THEY CAN MAKE A CRACK ADDICT FAMOUS
@Djoneswag101 Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, CM Punk, R Truth, Evan Bourne, Alberto Del Rio, Tyson Kidd and Wade Barrett were all stars before they came to WWE, just under different names and companies (except CM Punk, he's always been CM Punk lol). William Regal was an international star long before he went to WWE. Mark Henry was in the Olympics for goodness sake
That's pretty bad if what he said about the Hogan Tour reaching Halifax is true, that's essentially bullying venues into a form of contract, bad publicity.
Vince Russo being responsible for WCW to go out of business is the one of the most ignorant statements. He was gone then the company become a mess, before he came back in first place.
I like JBL. I liked him as champ. He was a guy who I'd never imagined as world champion, but he kicked the door down and was an unbelievable heel. I'd kill to have guys like that again. The CM Punk/Daniel Bryan combo is making me a little nervous. Say what you want about Cena and Orton, but they're better than those two IMO. The two of them just got boring because there were no compelling stories or interesting stars for them to fight. Something needs to happen, FAST!
@MrRobert21, i was with you until you said Orton drew, that's just bullshit, Orton is the most boring no-draw main-eventer since hhh, mcmahon edits out boos of cena as well, the rock is the only reason people bought wrestlemania27, 1 million as compared to 600,000 the year before, wwe ratings have dropped sharply since the Rock left, and ppv's like vengeance and backlash get less than 200,000, plus they pipe in fake crowd noise at wwe raw and smackdown and tna impact, really both suck balls now.
It's a BRAND. Wrestling fans don't see John Cena or Kurt Angle, they see WWE in big bold letters. TNA is seen as the lower quality brand. You can put the best ingredients in a cheeseburger and sell it at Burger King, but it will never be McDonald's. Coke outsells Pepsi because it "tastes better", but most consumers can't tell the difference in a blind test. There has to be an event that plants an idea in the consumers mind and changes the way they view a particular brand.
@jonjon1189 McDonalds is garbage. Coke is better than Pepsi.
People need to stop being such followers & start thinking as individuals... all of the mainstream sheep just go out & buy whatever everybody else is buying. How stupid can people get? Think for yourself, all of you blind sheep.
Do things different from wwe. have ppv,s cheaper, promote younger talent.. They can't market for their lives.. They also need to stop talking about wwe and have more talk about themselves
TNA can't sell because Vince McMahon has a psychological monopoly. When you think of pro-wrestling, you think of Vince McMahon. If he's not involved, people don't take it as seriously. They assume that he can just buy up the competition. His legend grew tremendously after 2001. He went from Vince McMahon, the WWF guy to Vince McMahon, the self-made billionaire.
Damn, JBL is totally fucking right! I never completely agreed with some of the things that JBL has said and done in the past. But, hes 100% RIGHT! Thank Bradshaw for telling the truth!
@budicepolar More off topic dribble here from the flaming smark troll nation I see. Since you losers with no lives enjoy being beaten by my witty abuse, I shall own and punk you once on this video here before I ignore you after this single comment. I do not have a mum as I am American and can spell correctly, so I have a MOM, unlike you who grew up in an orphanage. I know your only sexual fantasies would involve me and my male relatives since you are homosexual, so you are not fooling anybody
@DeadIslandTrailers Everybody is replaceable in Vince McMahon's company and that has always been true of the WWF because the McMahon family is the main and almost only reason that company has been the tremendous success that it is. Everybody is replaceable has not been true in the rest of the wrestling industry because every other company that has lost key on and off screen talent has shut down. The Von Erichs were not replaceable in WCCW and Crusher, Bruiser, Hogan, were not replaceable in AWA.
JBL is actually a good business man. But how he is a somebody in wrestling has always amazed me. Only time anybody cared about him was when he was a APA. Also I get this is in August but TNA actually has been getting high ratings. As compared to WWE that has been losing ratings. So whats WWE's excuse. And yes I know ruso now is no longer head writer.
@PierreDennis comments like that are just stupid even if wcw got screwed up when he was there you cant deny he was the one that made wwf a competitor to wcw again also he's been booking for tna the whole time and people seemed to love tna till hogan came in and guess what russo was booking
@hbk2hhh The reason Russo got WWE to be successful was because Vince McMahon was smart enough to tell which of Russo's ideas were good, and which were bad. WCW didn't filter him, they just put all his ideas on TV. And he has a lot of bad ideas too.
@hbk2hhh I can careless about what you think about my comment. 2) I don't care about your opinion about Vince Russo. I'm a Chef. And I know that in a business, its "Idea's" that ruin a business and not cents and dollars. And, I'm sure that he had good ideas. But his idea's in the end ruined every company he walked into. And 3) when you have more than three quarters of the roaster from any current or former wrestling company, hate Vince Russo, you know he messed up somewhere. You can't deny that!
@PierreDennis what ever i dont get into petty youtube arguements with people but how can you say he ruined every wrestling company with his ideas. wwf was at thier peak when he left and tna isn't canceled yet?
I don't like Vince Russo, but WCW got sold because of the Time Warner merge. JBL is an author and businessman. He should know that. The company's demise didn't happen because of poor writing. Why do you think WCW stayed on the air from 1988 to 1994 despite not being nearly as popular as the WWF?
Anyway, it's one horrible wrestler/announcer (JBL) criticizing a horrible writer. Having either of them involved in a wrestling show will make it suck hard balls.
@hambalony You again, Hamilton Pig. So your homosexual life mate Bobby is still ANNOYING (like you are ANNOYING with your poor spelling and typing) people with his STUPIDITY (how stupid are you that you can not spell STUPIDITY properly). Since I am not named Bobby and I do not know anybody named Bobby that does not really matter to me, but I hope your boyfriend quits that and humps you as you like. You are owned and punked again, so now I shall ignore you on this video here after this comment
@AlexDCl Honky Tonk Man started kissing McMahon's butt again after McMahon paid Honky Tonk Man to induct Koko B. Ware into the hall of fame. Honky Tonk is an old con artist who can never be taken seriously. If McMahon is paying him, Honky Tonk Man loves McMahon. If McMahon is not paying him, Honky Tonk Man hates McMahon. If a smark web site or dirt sheet pays Honky Tonk to bash McMahon, then he does it. He is an old Elvis impersonator out to make himself a buck no matter what he has to say.
@MRobert21 HTM was a good heel in his day but I have no idea why marks are STILL paying him for interviews. His stories are increasingly bizarre: Hogan was making $20 million/month in the 80s, HBK was getting 14k/week after WM14 because he was Vince's side piece, HTM and Lawler "created" ECW in 1980 (?!), "Austin sold a lot of t-shirts but he never sold out as many buildings as I did", "Dynamite Kid NEVER slapped me around", and to your point, "Vince Mack-Man is a genius." Keeping himself alive.
@DoubleTalkingJive Generally, Honky Tonk Man is a con artist and nut case who likes hearing himself talk and is seeking attention. I know Hogan made several million $ for Wrestlemania 3 alone, but I doubt he ever made $20 million in a single month. Honky Tonk's point on ECW is right that the so called genius and new booking of ECW (girls, tables, brawls, blood, etc.) was recycled stuff from Florida and Memphis (where Heyman and the ECW booker before Heyman, Eddie Gilbert, both got started).
@MRobert21 Yeah, HTM in the Kayfabe Commentaries shoot was pretending Hogan was pulling down $1 million per house show back in the 80s, wrestling five nights a week. It was his way of burying Austin and putting over the era in which he actually had worth in the wrestling business.
I agree that Heyman and Eddie both jacked from Memphis and FL, but HTM wrestled ONE concession stand match that he pretends started the whole hardcore revolution. I guess he came up with the name "The Clique" too?
@DoubleTalkingJive Yes, I have seen the Honky Tonk Man Kayfabe Commentaries shoot here on You Tube (I would never pay for it). He kisses Hogan's butt by pretending Hogan made more $ that Austin (a fact Jim Ross has proven wrong), but then he buries Hogan for not getting him a contract in WCW. AAustin got merchandise into retail stores, which Hogan could not do in his prime. If you watch these shoot interviews, they are all lies where everybody pretends they invented everything in wrestling.
@MRobert21 Exactly. In other interviews, he obsessed over the fact that other wrestlers got big WCW contracts and were never used (Lanny Poffo) or had expired WCW contracts that accidentally renewed, like the Iron Sheik, who was paid to sit home. Thus, he felt deserving of one, except he didn't want to do jobs. God Forbid an indie promoter running a show at a high school gym would see HTM losing on WCW Saturday Night! His phone would never ring again!
@DoubleTalkingJive It is the same Honky Tonk Man who said Rhythm And Blues were going to get the world tag team titles and be the top team in the business (off of that electric feud with the Bushwhackers) before the Road Warriors were signed. The only reason Honky Tonk had a job his last 2 years in the WWF was to do jobs for all the guys he refused to put over before then. If you do not do jobs (unlike Lanny Poffo) or you do not draw anything, then you will not get a contract (even in WCW).
@MRobert21 Lol hadn't heard that story. Actually, the one I always heard was that Power & Glory were supposed to get a run with the titles, but Hogan's buddies the Nasties showed up and that all changed. Don't know if it's true, but they did get somewhat of a push towards the end of 1990 before the Nasties came in. Plus, I don't think the office liked Roma all that much.
But yeah, HTM isn't a team player at all. So I'm not surprised he hasn't worked full-time for a promotion in over 2 decades.
@DoubleTalkingJive That is the delusional Paul Roma shoot interview, not the delusional Honky Tonk Man shoot interview (Hercules died before the dawn of delusional shoot interviews). The Nasty Boys were not Hogan's stooges until they met in WWF and really kissed his butt when Hogan came to WCW in 1994. Nasty Boys were signed and pushed by WWF because they were getting hot in a WCW feud with the Steiners. Power And Glory (by burying Rockers) were briefly pushed until it was realized they stunk
@MRobert21 P&G created the greatest tag team finisher ever, but that's about it. Herc was a shitty worker. Roma was good enough but he wanted to be a power wrestler like his partner, and toss guys around like they were rag dolls. I don't care how jacked you are. You can't be a power wrestler when you're 5'5" (and your manager is taller than you).
I forget where I read it, but it wasn't a Roma shoot. I read that Bret wanted to go singles and wanted to drop the belts ASAP, so P&G were considered
@DoubleTalkingJive Roma looked good, but he was nothing in the ring and as HHH said on the 4 Horsemen set, Roma was the job guy who was about 5 feet tall. Roma said on his James Guttman shoot interview he and Hercules were forced to work injured at Wrestlemania 7 because McMahon told him he could not have Wrestlemania without Power And Glory doing a 90 second squash job. The Rockers were going to get the belts, but Neidhart could not get booked any place, so they had to stay a team a bit longer
@MRobert21 I think that story's true (Roma came to the ring with his arm braced up and Herc was holding his groin for about 70 of those 90 seconds). All true except the part where Vince told Roma that it wouldn't be WMVII without P&G. LOL. Fucking Roma..
And yeah. Neidhart who didn't want to job to Jake at the Heroes of Wrestling PPV because he was afraid Vince wouldn't use him again if he did. He didn't do the job and Vince still hasn't used him! Ouch...
@DoubleTalkingJive I am sure Roma and Hercules begged McMahon to be at Wrestlemania 7 despite their injuries for their biggest pay day of the year. Orient Express or anybody could have done that job as well as Power And Glory. Jake being stoned changed the booking of the EPIC FAIL Heroes Of Wrestling card to a tag match main event and forced Jake to job since he could not stand up. I think Vince has used Neidhart for appearances out of pity a couple of times since Vince employs his daughter.
@DoubleTalkingJive Honky Tonk Man had NOTHING to do with Memphis being great when it was great. Before coming to WWF because Hogan wanted to give Honky Tonk a pity run since they had been friends as jobbers in Memphis, Honky Tonk was broke in Calgary on his last leg in the business (I think Bobby Heenan said that in a shoot interview once). Lex Luger invented the name the Clique from what I have heard. I think that Honky Tonk Man was in WCW and the indies when the Clique started.
TNA *shouldn't* be trying to compete with WWE. It should be going out of its way to be DIFFERENT. Push the X Division because WWE doesn't have a Cruiser division, use blood on PPVs because WWE doesn't, be PG13 because WWE is PG. ITS NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE!!!
@andyrevell You are absolutely right. WCW lost the Monday Night Wars because they were so concerned with sinking WWE, that they forgot to make any stars. TNA needs to concentrate on their show rather than reacting to WWE storylines.
@bonnyathome It wasn't so much that they didn't try, its just the older stars REFUSED to let the younger guys become stars. Look at Hulk Hogan vs Billy Kidman. That's a textbook example of how to lose to someone without putting them over.
@andyrevell You are right. Unfortunately WCW allowed the older WWE stars to write into their contract that they had partial to complete control over their television characters in order to sweeten the deal for them to jump ship. This made former WWE stars now working in WCW more influential than the WCW originals.
@bonnyathome WCW went out of business for 1 reason, because the dot com boom went bust and AOL / Time Warner lost billions of $ in a year, so every part of AOL / Time Warner losing $ had to be closed. It had NOTHING to do with not pushing vanilla midgets, writing, talent, what WWF was doing, or any other smark reason. If WCW had been smart like WWF and got in on the ground floor of DVD and digital content to earn more $ while spending way less $, then WCW would still be alive today period.
@MRobert21 In your own way you are agreeing to my view. If WCW had concentrated on more ppv's and less on the war on monday nights it would still have broken even and earned some on those lean years, thereby making WCW still a stakeable venture. I know when Ted lost partial to full control of WCW, the new bossess said that they didnot have any interest in wrestling and airing a wrestling pograme. That is why Vince bought WCW so cheap. Five million was a joke for a 350 million company.
@bonnyathome WCW never made $ on pay per view even when business was good. The only 2 years after Turner bought the company in 1989 that WCW made a profit were 1997-1998. Turner lost control of WCW and all his holdings when he sold to Time Warner in the mid 1990's long before Time Warner merged with AOL and long after that WCW was closed. WCW was drowned in debt when it was sold, so AOL was lucky to get anything for it. McMahon won the right to be 1st bidder on WCW in a law suit settlement.
@MRobert21 That's true but their debt did not get that bad until Russo came along. The most money that WCW lost in a year was 6 million in the early 90's and that was not much of a concern to Turner. In 2000 under Russo WCW lost 60 million and this is something that I shove in the face of anyone that defends Russo and say he was not at fault for the decline of WCW.
@joekoe97 WRONG, on all counts. Russo had NO RESPONSIBILITY for any of the debt in WCW as he was just the head television writer and had NO financial control of WCW. Bischoff, who had financial control of WCW, was responsible for WCW losing $80 million in a single year, which is why he was sent home. Except for when Bill Watts had the WCW losses down to about $1 million yearly, WCW lost tens of millions of $ every year after Turner bought WCW as it had been the last years under Crockett.
@MRobert21 whatever believe whatever you want to believe. Bischoff had nothing to do with paying KISS 500,000 dollars to lip syche for 3 minutes. All Russo.
@joekoe97 Boy are you a moron who knows NOTHING, so I will own and punk you 1 last time on this video here before I ignore you after this final comment. Google Dale Torborg or WCW KISS. To quote Wiki, which says this best, "His fortunes changed in 1999 when WCW HEAD ERIC BISCHOFF struck a deal with the rock band KISS to create a KISS themed wrestler." Also on Wiki, "On October 5, 1999, Russo and Ed Ferrara signed with WCW," AFTER the KISS deal and Bischoff losing $80 million in 1999 alone.
@andyrevell I know, it is so EASY for smarks in their mom's basement to run a company (especially in a profession they never worked in), which is why you own a wrestling company (oh wait, you do not). Ignore that pushing cruiser weights has never drawn $ in wrestling history (including 9 years of TNA). Ignore the health risks of bleeding and that investors, advertisers, sponsors, and television networks do not want blood, smut, filth, and potty mouthing. Just listen to the all knowing smarks.
@MRobert21 Firstly, you don't know shit about me, so the "living in their mothers basement" comment was plain idiotic. Secondly, since WWE went PG, live attendance and viewing figures have actually declined and TNA, which is PG13, has generally maintained the same figures. Cruiserweights don't draw money? Dragon Gate in Japan is almost exclusively Cruiserweights and in the short time it's been in existance, has gone from nowhere to the 2nd most popular wrestling company in Japan.
@andyrevell I know you. You are the generic, know it all, smark who knows NOTHING about how the real world, business, or entertainment (and especially wrestling) works, yet you come on the web to proclaim your fake genius. Therefore, I own and punk you with the FACTS OF LIFE. You are so dumb you do not even know TNA is TV14, not PG13 (which is a movie, not television, rating). You stupidly say TNA should do more of the same crap TNA has been FAILING with for a whole decade to be successful.
@andyrevell Since McMahon went PG in 2008 (at least 6 years later than he should have), his company has made more $ in rights fees, sponsors, advertisers, and investors than it did before that while being profitable despite a GLOBAL ECONOMIC DEPRESSION every single fiscal quarter. Your trashy TNA crap with its TV14 and vanilla midgets is losing tens of millions of $ a year, doing no ratings, doing no merchandising, doing no live gates, doing, no pay per view buy rates, et cetera. You LOSE.
@andyrevell Now, to finish owning and punking you on this video here before I ignore you after this last comment. Dragon's Gate is a crappy, indie, bingo hall company doing worse than TNA is. People pay to see LARGER THAN LIFE good and bad guys, not flip flop vanilla midgets. People pay to see stories and characters, not bland gymnastics. Cruiser weights, as a generic mass blob of midgets, have not drawn $ in WCW, WWF, TNA, or any other company they have been pushed in over the years.
@MRobert21 I could spend ages explaining why you are incredibly, incredibly wrong, write a big long rant on this videos comments page, explain why the Cruiserweights in WWE weren't headlining because WWE didn't permit them to do so, how Destination X, an all X Division PPV did one of the highest Buy Rates in TNA history, and how you know shit about Dragon Gate, but its easier to say "Fuck off and carry on sucking John Cena's cock you WWE fanboy".
@StephenAlexWalker He interviewed Bischoff once for the old 'Byte This' show on the WWE website and it was great. They both seemed to have a mutual respect for each other and both hated Russo
The WWE fans in Halifax are one of the best crowds I've seen and heard in the whole world. Gotta put em up there with Montreal and the other Canadian cities, as well as Manchester, England and Rosemont, Illinois (which some people refer to as "Chicago")
JBL's been pissy at Vince Russo since the Attitude Era. He's just cranky that Russo would never give such a mediocre wrestler anything resembling a push, and he wound up resorting to blowing Triple H 5 years later in order to finally get his incredibly forgettable world title run.
Say what you want, the fact is when Russo booked Raw, it was awesome. The minute he left, in late '99, you could see the fall-off in quality almost immediately. People say it was all McMahon's genius and not Russo, which is absurd. McMahon stayed with the company... he's been with them this entire time, and ratings now are the lowest they've been since 1996, when WWF nearly went out of business.
@ShatteredDreamsProd1 if you listened to anyone(including cornette), you would know russo was successful as he had a master businessman named vince keeping him on a leash, filtering his mad ideas & keeping the better ones. even then, attitude era had some of the stupidest shit like sable, mark henry-mae young, brawl for all etc...its only the greatest performers(like rock & austin) who saved the company
when russo was out of cage, wcw lost 60 fuckin million dollars..incredible! & now tna's dying
Cornette lost his job as booker to Russo in WWF. He has an axe to grind.
This is what I hate about you 'smart' marks. You're not there. You don't know shit about what actually happened, but you'll watch one shoot interview and suddenly think you're a genius. WCW had lost millions of dollars before Russo even stepped foot in the company... and what's more... Russo only booked TV for something like six months. That's it! WCW died in 2001, when Russo had been fired already.
@ShatteredDreamsProd1 I agree, just look at the Alliance angle in 2001. They had all the talent in the world and the ratings dropped like a rock because of the storylines. Where was Vince McMahon as a filter then?
@ShatteredDreamsProd1 if you listened to anyone(including cornette), you would know russo was successful as he had a master businessman named vince keeping him on a leash, filtering his mad ideas & keeping the better ones. even then, attitude era had some of the stupidest shit like sable, mark henry-mae young, brawl for all etc...its only the greatest performers(like rock & austin) who saved the company
when russo was out of cage, wcw lost 60 fuckin million dollars..incredible! & now tna's dying
@matthew1000 Of course, Russo had not been in WCW for about a year by the time WCW closed in 2001, which is the main thing that blows up the Russo killed WCW nonsense. AOL / Time Warner was paying Russo to sit at home and not work when WCW ended. How can Johnny Ace, Jimmy Hart, Billy Kidman and a number of WCW guys who were there when WCW ended now all be employed - by VINCE MCMAHON? The answer is because McMahon knows who and why WCW went under better than dirt sheets, smarks, and mid carders
Russo is not the one responsible for WCW going bankrupt, it was Vince McMahon's double agents Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. And now he's hired them to destroy TNA.Why can't anyone see this?Hogan, Vince, Bischoff, and plenty of more guys who people think have something against eachother are really friends going around destroying any wrestling company that even appears on their radar.
@kingmula2 No, Jamie Kellner did not kill anything. That is bogus crap Bryan Alvarez and RD Reynolds came up with to try to sell their silly book years ago. They named Kellner the murderer because they figured he would not care and sue them over it as anybody in the wrestling business would have. AOL / Time Warner lost billions of $ and ordered every part of the company that was losing $ shut down. Kellner was a mid level flunky who did what the Board Of Directors told him to do to cut costs
@kingmula2 Kellner was not even on the AOL / Time Warner Board Of Directors, which included Ted Turner, that ordered everything losing $ to be shut down because the corporation was in a panic that the whole multi billion $ company might die. Kellner just over saw the Turner networks and did what he was told to do. WCW always lost $, except for 1997-1998, since Turner bought WCW, but as long as the parent corporation was healthy nobody cared until the tech crash killed the parent company, AOL.
@BluDollarTeddy100 Congratulations, you win the awards for dumbest You Tube post of the day and dumbest smark conspiracy theory ever. I wish your post was a joke, but sadly I think it is serious. How exactly does evil McMahon force WCW and TNA to hire these double agents of his? If Bischoff is an evil McMahon double agent, then how come McMahon refused to hire Bischoff after he gave Bischoff an announcing try out in 1991? I heard the Russo and Hogan double agent crap before, but not Bischoff.
@MRobert21 LOL, you naive noob.EVERYTHING Vince and his double agents do is for the public eye.See what everyone saw was Vince not giving Bischoff an announcing job, but what no one saw was Vince giving Bischoff his mission of destroying WCW.EVERYTHING these guys do are part of a bigger picture. All we see is what they want us to see which is them bickering. And that my friends is called a cover up.And Vince don't have to force companies to hire his agents because they're usually the 1s in charge.
@BluDollarTeddy100 WOW, I would say you are crazy, but I hate to insult insane people by comparing you to them. Laughing at, owning, mocking, and punking you is a pure joy though, so I will do it 1 last time before I ignore you on this video here after this. So, according to your lunacy, evil McMahon found Bischoff selling meat out of a truck in 1986, then he forced Verne Gagne to hire Bischoff to kill AWA, Turner to hire Bischoff to kill WCW, and Carter to hire Bischoff to kill TNA. Ha, ha.
@BluDollarTeddy100 Now to finish your insane stupidity off on this video here for good. According to you, ALL the people who ran WCW into the ground from the 1980's on, except Vince Russo for some odd reason, including Hogan, Bischoff, Turner, the Crocketts, Flair, Rhodes, Anderson, Sullivan, Frey, Watts, Herd, Nash, Hall, et cetera were ALL evil McMahon secret double agents. The CIA does not have that many secret agents. McMahon wanted WCW to beat him in the ratings and make huge $ in 97-98.
@MRobert21 LOL silly rabbit, this is why people like you need to shielded from the truth. It's too much for y'all to handle. If believing everything you wrote helps you sleep at night than so be it.Hey and guess what else, Santa Clause does exist.Does that also help you sleep better at night?
@chazmc9999 7,500 is not even a track able buy rate as far as I know, so 0.0 sounds right there. Original ECW used to do around 40,000 buys a pay per view, which was like a .2 buy rate. I think Heroes Of Wrestling and other crap 1 time shows did more buys than the 7,500 buys TNA is doing now. 7,500 is more than TNA was doing when it started a decade ago. TNA was only doing a couple of hundred buys per week back when the Jarretts started this crap with their idiotic weekly pay per view idea.
as far as ppv goes. Consumers only have but so much money to spread. TNA needs to seriously revamp their branding. They can get as many free agents and WWE stars they want. Only die hard wrestling fans are going to care. Maybe a few casuals, but not in droves. And most of those fans will still follow WWE.
@bighustle Pay per view as a whole is a dead industry. Consumers do not have the $ to spend on it, piracy is rampant, and the web and home video have reduced buy rates. McMahon is the only wrestling promoter in history to make $ off of pay per view because he got in on the ground floor of it. Howard Stern used to have 20 million listeners and quit doing pay per views because he made no $ off of them, so what chance does TNA have with 1.5 million fans. TNA should cease PPV and house shows.
@MRobert21 But what's the alternative? They can't just milk the Panda forever. ROH, for all of its flaws production wise, seem to have the answer with iPPV. TNA needs to change their business model completely. Tape TV bi-weekly in 2000 to 6000 seat buildings (until they can do better house numbers); essentially, they'll be promoting televised house shows where they can actually make money. Then either decrease ppvs from 12 to 6 and/or switch to iPPV thus saving the company money.
@bighustle Internet pay per view is meaningless. ROH does so few buys with that crap that ROH makes the 7,500 buys per pay per view TNA does look like Wrestlemania by comparison. The original ROH business model where they ran small local events and sold videos was better, but then ROH got delusions of grandeur and tried to get to big, which was a flop. TNA loses $ every time they hold a pay per view or a house show, so TNA should just stop doing those. TNA can not be saved, but it may linger
@MRobert21 TNA buys are not confirmed idiot, and even if it's true that they did 7,500 once, you can't assume they get that every PPV. It can go from 7,000 to 17,000, 15,000 to 25,000, etc.
@iWcKiller TNA buy rates are publicly CONFIRMED by the pay per view providers, former TNA employees, the dirt sheets and sites, and wrestlers who know people in TNA. TNA has never disputed, much less sued, any of there parties that divulge their terrible buy rates, which means they are TRUE. PROVE with VERIFIABLE FACTS that your beloved TNA does more than the 7,500 buys multiple sources revealed TNA to be doing or else shut the hell up. Now, you are owned, punked, and done on this topic here.
@iWcKiller I think you're misinterpreting me. I never said TNA was doing horrible business. But if they aren't doing as well on ppv as they'd like, I'm simply offering alternative ideas that'll have them save money. Again, it costs a lot less to put on an iPPV than it does a regular PPV. Besides that, TNA needs to keep trying to build their brand. No one wrestler is gonna turn that company around because TNA isn't branded as synonymous with "wrestling" in the US. No diss.
@bighustle you don't know the PPV revenue, you don't have a clue. You say "turn around" as if this company is struggling financially, which it isn't. Your just another mark like I said
@iWcKiller listen you angry nerd, I'm didn't come on here to insult you or TNA. But you're right. I don't know what the turnaround is for TNA ppvs. But I'm pretty sure you don't either. What I DO know, is that running PPV is more expensive than running iPPV. What I DO know is that its been reported numerous times that TNA ppv numbers are low as fuck and Dixie was considering cutting back on them at one point. So I'm simply suggesting a cost effective alternative. That's it. Now fuck off.
@bighustle lol, It's been "reported by some idiot that goes by the name of Dave Meltzer, who just so happens to be a TNA hater. That guy is not a legitimate source with TNA buys because he does not work for TNA and has nothing to do with it. He makes shit up, and idiots like you feed into it. TNA is an established company, so your iPPV nonsense is retarded. They do that already, but they would never use that as a one and only default
@bighustle The "angry nerd" description was totally accurate of that iWcKiller moron and is a generally good term for the TNA marks on You Tube. They all get emo, whining, and butt hurt when ever the facts about TNA are brought out because they have no facts or proof on their side. You would think they have $ invested in that TNA sinking ship the way they start flaming and crying when TNA gets punked out. The fans of TNA are such scum bags that I would not watch TNA even if TNA improved 1000%
@iWcKiller I wasted too much time owning and punking your dumb butt on this video already, so this is my last word defeating and mocking you on this video here before I ignore you after this, you flaming smark troll. You are the MARK as you blindly believe anything anti McMahon or that TNA tells you. PROVE with VERIFIABLE FACTS that TNA is doing great business right now or else ZIP IT because YOU LOSE. I can prove McMahon is making big $ right now because he publicly provides the proof of it.
@MRobert21 I like WWE just as much as like TNA you dumbass. Funny how you idiots don't comprehend that people can actually enjoy more than one company stupid bitch. That pretty much buries your pathetic comment, go away retard
(cont'd) It's basically reverting back to what Raw and the WWE was in the mid 90s except with the luxury of not having competition on the same night. W/ the new method of doing TV they'll be able to make money on the road, save money by NOT going live, save money by NOT doing huge arenas that they can only fill half of, all while continuing to build their brand comfortably on Thursdays. With the iPPV, they need to find a way to do it exclusively through their website though that maybe tricky
@bighustle TNA needs to tape their television in the tiny Universal Studios Florida studio because it is the cheapest way to produce television and TNA can not draw crowds any way. TNA needs to just be a television series as long as Spike is willing to pay for it. TNA can sell videos and merchandise, but it needs to give up on the dream of live event tours, pay per views, and all the other areas McMahon dominates in. TNA needs to cut the big $ salaries that are not drawing and simplify business
@MRobert21 I don't buy into that. They draw in NY because they market the shit out of their shows. Along with doing scaling down the size of the buildings they run house shows in, they need to focus on marketing themselves and actually promoting their house shows. ROH may do jack shit on iPPV, but that doesn't mean TNA will do the same numb
And then TNA listens

kimbalurver88 1 month ago
@kimbalurver88 Hang on though man, Austin was still Steve Austin in ECW, the Stone Cold persona was a WWE creation. Shawn Michaels didnt get a singles push til the WWE, anywhere else he was nothing but a tag team wrestler or a job guy. The Rock was created by Dwayne Johnson in WWE. Newer guys like Randy Orton and John Cena are stars cuz of WWE
beefmong 1 month ago
@beefmong Austin created most of the Stone Cold persona. They wanted to bring him in as Ice master or something like that, something cold related.
LORDUnLuCkY13 3 weeks ago
@LORDUnLuCkY13 Austin was brought into the WWE as The Ringmaster. Austin felt that with that crappy name he wasnt gonna go anywhere, so he suggested a gimmick that was somewhat cold-blooded to the WWE management. But you're right, most of it was Steve's own work, but it didn't come to fruition til WWE was my point

"everybody's replaceable"
the truest statement in pro wrestling.
DeadIslandTrailers 3 months ago 2
@DeadIslandTrailers Everybody is replaceable in Vince McMahon's company and that has always been true of the WWF because the McMahon family is the main and almost only reason that company has been the tremendous success that it is. Everybody is replaceable has not been true in the rest of the wrestling industry because every other company that has lost key on and off screen talent has shut down. The Von Erichs were not replaceable in WCCW and Crusher, Bruiser, Hogan, were not replaceable in AWA.

When did Honky start kissing McMahons backside?
AlexDCl 4 months ago
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 HTM was a good heel in his day but I have no idea why marks are STILL paying him for interviews. His stories are increasingly bizarre: Hogan was making $20 million/month in the 80s, HBK was getting 14k/week after WM14 because he was Vince's side piece, HTM and Lawler "created" ECW in 1980 (?!), "Austin sold a lot of t-shirts but he never sold out as many buildings as I did", "Dynamite Kid NEVER slapped me around", and to your point, "Vince Mack-Man is a genius." Keeping himself alive.
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive Generally, Honky Tonk Man is a con artist and nut case who likes hearing himself talk and is seeking attention. I know Hogan made several million $ for Wrestlemania 3 alone, but I doubt he ever made $20 million in a single month. Honky Tonk's point on ECW is right that the so called genius and new booking of ECW (girls, tables, brawls, blood, etc.) was recycled stuff from Florida and Memphis (where Heyman and the ECW booker before Heyman, Eddie Gilbert, both got started).
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 Yeah, HTM in the Kayfabe Commentaries shoot was pretending Hogan was pulling down $1 million per house show back in the 80s, wrestling five nights a week. It was his way of burying Austin and putting over the era in which he actually had worth in the wrestling business.
I agree that Heyman and Eddie both jacked from Memphis and FL, but HTM wrestled ONE concession stand match that he pretends started the whole hardcore revolution. I guess he came up with the name "The Clique" too?
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive Yes, I have seen the Honky Tonk Man Kayfabe Commentaries shoot here on You Tube (I would never pay for it). He kisses Hogan's butt by pretending Hogan made more $ that Austin (a fact Jim Ross has proven wrong), but then he buries Hogan for not getting him a contract in WCW. AAustin got merchandise into retail stores, which Hogan could not do in his prime. If you watch these shoot interviews, they are all lies where everybody pretends they invented everything in wrestling.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 Exactly. In other interviews, he obsessed over the fact that other wrestlers got big WCW contracts and were never used (Lanny Poffo) or had expired WCW contracts that accidentally renewed, like the Iron Sheik, who was paid to sit home. Thus, he felt deserving of one, except he didn't want to do jobs. God Forbid an indie promoter running a show at a high school gym would see HTM losing on WCW Saturday Night! His phone would never ring again!
Man's got his priorities screwed up.
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive It is the same Honky Tonk Man who said Rhythm And Blues were going to get the world tag team titles and be the top team in the business (off of that electric feud with the Bushwhackers) before the Road Warriors were signed. The only reason Honky Tonk had a job his last 2 years in the WWF was to do jobs for all the guys he refused to put over before then. If you do not do jobs (unlike Lanny Poffo) or you do not draw anything, then you will not get a contract (even in WCW).
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 Lol hadn't heard that story. Actually, the one I always heard was that Power & Glory were supposed to get a run with the titles, but Hogan's buddies the Nasties showed up and that all changed. Don't know if it's true, but they did get somewhat of a push towards the end of 1990 before the Nasties came in. Plus, I don't think the office liked Roma all that much.
But yeah, HTM isn't a team player at all. So I'm not surprised he hasn't worked full-time for a promotion in over 2 decades.
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive That is the delusional Paul Roma shoot interview, not the delusional Honky Tonk Man shoot interview (Hercules died before the dawn of delusional shoot interviews). The Nasty Boys were not Hogan's stooges until they met in WWF and really kissed his butt when Hogan came to WCW in 1994. Nasty Boys were signed and pushed by WWF because they were getting hot in a WCW feud with the Steiners. Power And Glory (by burying Rockers) were briefly pushed until it was realized they stunk
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 P&G created the greatest tag team finisher ever, but that's about it. Herc was a shitty worker. Roma was good enough but he wanted to be a power wrestler like his partner, and toss guys around like they were rag dolls. I don't care how jacked you are. You can't be a power wrestler when you're 5'5" (and your manager is taller than you).
I forget where I read it, but it wasn't a Roma shoot. I read that Bret wanted to go singles and wanted to drop the belts ASAP, so P&G were considered
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive Roma looked good, but he was nothing in the ring and as HHH said on the 4 Horsemen set, Roma was the job guy who was about 5 feet tall. Roma said on his James Guttman shoot interview he and Hercules were forced to work injured at Wrestlemania 7 because McMahon told him he could not have Wrestlemania without Power And Glory doing a 90 second squash job. The Rockers were going to get the belts, but Neidhart could not get booked any place, so they had to stay a team a bit longer
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 I think that story's true (Roma came to the ring with his arm braced up and Herc was holding his groin for about 70 of those 90 seconds). All true except the part where Vince told Roma that it wouldn't be WMVII without P&G. LOL. Fucking Roma..
And yeah. Neidhart who didn't want to job to Jake at the Heroes of Wrestling PPV because he was afraid Vince wouldn't use him again if he did. He didn't do the job and Vince still hasn't used him! Ouch...
DoubleTalkingJive 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive I am sure Roma and Hercules begged McMahon to be at Wrestlemania 7 despite their injuries for their biggest pay day of the year. Orient Express or anybody could have done that job as well as Power And Glory. Jake being stoned changed the booking of the EPIC FAIL Heroes Of Wrestling card to a tag match main event and forced Jake to job since he could not stand up. I think Vince has used Neidhart for appearances out of pity a couple of times since Vince employs his daughter.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@DoubleTalkingJive Honky Tonk Man had NOTHING to do with Memphis being great when it was great. Before coming to WWF because Hogan wanted to give Honky Tonk a pity run since they had been friends as jobbers in Memphis, Honky Tonk was broke in Calgary on his last leg in the business (I think Bobby Heenan said that in a shoot interview once). Lex Luger invented the name the Clique from what I have heard. I think that Honky Tonk Man was in WCW and the indies when the Clique started.
MRobert21 4 months ago
TNA *shouldn't* be trying to compete with WWE. It should be going out of its way to be DIFFERENT. Push the X Division because WWE doesn't have a Cruiser division, use blood on PPVs because WWE doesn't, be PG13 because WWE is PG. ITS NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE!!!
andyrevell 4 months ago
@andyrevell You are absolutely right. WCW lost the Monday Night Wars because they were so concerned with sinking WWE, that they forgot to make any stars. TNA needs to concentrate on their show rather than reacting to WWE storylines.
bonnyathome 4 months ago
@bonnyathome It wasn't so much that they didn't try, its just the older stars REFUSED to let the younger guys become stars. Look at Hulk Hogan vs Billy Kidman. That's a textbook example of how to lose to someone without putting them over.
andyrevell 4 months ago
@andyrevell You are right. Unfortunately WCW allowed the older WWE stars to write into their contract that they had partial to complete control over their television characters in order to sweeten the deal for them to jump ship. This made former WWE stars now working in WCW more influential than the WCW originals.
bonnyathome 4 months ago
@bonnyathome WCW went out of business for 1 reason, because the dot com boom went bust and AOL / Time Warner lost billions of $ in a year, so every part of AOL / Time Warner losing $ had to be closed. It had NOTHING to do with not pushing vanilla midgets, writing, talent, what WWF was doing, or any other smark reason. If WCW had been smart like WWF and got in on the ground floor of DVD and digital content to earn more $ while spending way less $, then WCW would still be alive today period.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 In your own way you are agreeing to my view. If WCW had concentrated on more ppv's and less on the war on monday nights it would still have broken even and earned some on those lean years, thereby making WCW still a stakeable venture. I know when Ted lost partial to full control of WCW, the new bossess said that they didnot have any interest in wrestling and airing a wrestling pograme. That is why Vince bought WCW so cheap. Five million was a joke for a 350 million company.
bonnyathome 4 months ago
@bonnyathome WCW never made $ on pay per view even when business was good. The only 2 years after Turner bought the company in 1989 that WCW made a profit were 1997-1998. Turner lost control of WCW and all his holdings when he sold to Time Warner in the mid 1990's long before Time Warner merged with AOL and long after that WCW was closed. WCW was drowned in debt when it was sold, so AOL was lucky to get anything for it. McMahon won the right to be 1st bidder on WCW in a law suit settlement.
MRobert21 4 months ago

MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 whatever believe whatever you want to believe. Bischoff had nothing to do with paying KISS 500,000 dollars to lip syche for 3 minutes. All Russo.
joekoe97 4 months ago

@MRobert21 Way to call someone a moron by quoting wikipedia.

MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 Firstly, you don't know shit about me, so the "living in their mothers basement" comment was plain idiotic. Secondly, since WWE went PG, live attendance and viewing figures have actually declined and TNA, which is PG13, has generally maintained the same figures. Cruiserweights don't draw money? Dragon Gate in Japan is almost exclusively Cruiserweights and in the short time it's been in existance, has gone from nowhere to the 2nd most popular wrestling company in Japan.
andyrevell 4 months ago
@andyrevell I know you. You are the generic, know it all, smark who knows NOTHING about how the real world, business, or entertainment (and especially wrestling) works, yet you come on the web to proclaim your fake genius. Therefore, I own and punk you with the FACTS OF LIFE. You are so dumb you do not even know TNA is TV14, not PG13 (which is a movie, not television, rating). You stupidly say TNA should do more of the same crap TNA has been FAILING with for a whole decade to be successful.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@andyrevell Since McMahon went PG in 2008 (at least 6 years later than he should have), his company has made more $ in rights fees, sponsors, advertisers, and investors than it did before that while being profitable despite a GLOBAL ECONOMIC DEPRESSION every single fiscal quarter. Your trashy TNA crap with its TV14 and vanilla midgets is losing tens of millions of $ a year, doing no ratings, doing no merchandising, doing no live gates, doing, no pay per view buy rates, et cetera. You LOSE.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@andyrevell Now, to finish owning and punking you on this video here before I ignore you after this last comment. Dragon's Gate is a crappy, indie, bingo hall company doing worse than TNA is. People pay to see LARGER THAN LIFE good and bad guys, not flip flop vanilla midgets. People pay to see stories and characters, not bland gymnastics. Cruiser weights, as a generic mass blob of midgets, have not drawn $ in WCW, WWF, TNA, or any other company they have been pushed in over the years.
MRobert21 4 months ago
@MRobert21 I could spend ages explaining why you are incredibly, incredibly wrong, write a big long rant on this videos comments page, explain why the Cruiserweights in WWE weren't headlining because WWE didn't permit them to do so, how Destination X, an all X Division PPV did one of the highest Buy Rates in TNA history, and how you know shit about Dragon Gate, but its easier to say "Fuck off and carry on sucking John Cena's cock you WWE fanboy".

Lol JBL, Time Warner went bust as a whole not just WCW...
WCW was actually decent for a short time after russo with the whole Goldberg vs Russo thing, at least compared to the shit they did in 1999 -.-
The "Shoots" on Nitro quickly became shit i'll admit but still a little better then 1999...
The Buyrate had been dead for WCW for years, WCW had never been a PPV company... Eric Bischoff was a far greater fraud then Russo ever was.

JBL's been pissy at Vince Russo since the Attitude Era. He's just cranky that Russo would never give such a mediocre wrestler anything resembling a push, and he wound up resorting to blowing Triple H 5 years later in order to finally get his incredibly forgettable world title run.

@ShatteredDreamsProd1
so you mean to say russo is good? russo is the single worst thing thaty ever happened to the business
sayanroy36 5 months ago
@sayanroy36
ShatteredDreamsProd1 5 months ago
@ShatteredDreamsProd1 if you listened to anyone(including cornette), you would know russo was successful as he had a master businessman named vince keeping him on a leash, filtering his mad ideas & keeping the better ones. even then, attitude era had some of the stupidest shit like sable, mark henry-mae young, brawl for all etc...its only the greatest performers(like rock & austin) who saved the company
when russo was out of cage, wcw lost 60 fuckin million dollars..incredible! & now tna's dying
sayanroy36 5 months ago
@sayanroy36
ShatteredDreamsProd1 5 months ago
@ShatteredDreamsProd1 I agree, just look at the Alliance angle in 2001. They had all the talent in the world and the ratings dropped like a rock because of the storylines. Where was Vince McMahon as a filter then?

BluDollarTeddy100 6 months ago
@BluDollarTeddy100 It was jamie keelner who likked wcw
kingmula2 6 months ago
@kingmula2 No, Jamie Kellner did not kill anything. That is bogus crap Bryan Alvarez and RD Reynolds came up with to try to sell their silly book years ago. They named Kellner the murderer because they figured he would not care and sue them over it as anybody in the wrestling business would have. AOL / Time Warner lost billions of $ and ordered every part of the company that was losing $ shut down. Kellner was a mid level flunky who did what the Board Of Directors told him to do to cut costs
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 But he did cancel WCW programming
kingmula2 6 months ago

MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 LOL, you naive noob.EVERYTHING Vince and his double agents do is for the public eye.See what everyone saw was Vince not giving Bischoff an announcing job, but what no one saw was Vince giving Bischoff his mission of destroying WCW.EVERYTHING these guys do are part of a bigger picture. All we see is what they want us to see which is them bickering. And that my friends is called a cover up.And Vince don't have to force companies to hire his agents because they're usually the 1s in charge.
BluDollarTeddy100 6 months ago
@BluDollarTeddy100 WOW, I would say you are crazy, but I hate to insult insane people by comparing you to them. Laughing at, owning, mocking, and punking you is a pure joy though, so I will do it 1 last time before I ignore you on this video here after this. So, according to your lunacy, evil McMahon found Bischoff selling meat out of a truck in 1986, then he forced Verne Gagne to hire Bischoff to kill AWA, Turner to hire Bischoff to kill WCW, and Carter to hire Bischoff to kill TNA. Ha, ha.
MRobert21 6 months ago
@BluDollarTeddy100 Now to finish your insane stupidity off on this video here for good. According to you, ALL the people who ran WCW into the ground from the 1980's on, except Vince Russo for some odd reason, including Hogan, Bischoff, Turner, the Crocketts, Flair, Rhodes, Anderson, Sullivan, Frey, Watts, Herd, Nash, Hall, et cetera were ALL evil McMahon secret double agents. The CIA does not have that many secret agents. McMahon wanted WCW to beat him in the ratings and make huge $ in 97-98.

lol 7,500 buy rate 0_o pretty sure their first ever show got more people
chazmc9999 6 months ago
@chazmc9999 7,500 is not even a track able buy rate as far as I know, so 0.0 sounds right there. Original ECW used to do around 40,000 buys a pay per view, which was like a .2 buy rate. I think Heroes Of Wrestling and other crap 1 time shows did more buys than the 7,500 buys TNA is doing now. 7,500 is more than TNA was doing when it started a decade ago. TNA was only doing a couple of hundred buys per week back when the Jarretts started this crap with their idiotic weekly pay per view idea.
MRobert21 6 months ago
as far as ppv goes. Consumers only have but so much money to spread. TNA needs to seriously revamp their branding. They can get as many free agents and WWE stars they want. Only die hard wrestling fans are going to care. Maybe a few casuals, but not in droves. And most of those fans will still follow WWE.
bighustle 6 months ago
@bighustle Pay per view as a whole is a dead industry. Consumers do not have the $ to spend on it, piracy is rampant, and the web and home video have reduced buy rates. McMahon is the only wrestling promoter in history to make $ off of pay per view because he got in on the ground floor of it. Howard Stern used to have 20 million listeners and quit doing pay per views because he made no $ off of them, so what chance does TNA have with 1.5 million fans. TNA should cease PPV and house shows.
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 But what's the alternative? They can't just milk the Panda forever. ROH, for all of its flaws production wise, seem to have the answer with iPPV. TNA needs to change their business model completely. Tape TV bi-weekly in 2000 to 6000 seat buildings (until they can do better house numbers); essentially, they'll be promoting televised house shows where they can actually make money. Then either decrease ppvs from 12 to 6 and/or switch to iPPV thus saving the company money.
bighustle 6 months ago
@bighustle Internet pay per view is meaningless. ROH does so few buys with that crap that ROH makes the 7,500 buys per pay per view TNA does look like Wrestlemania by comparison. The original ROH business model where they ran small local events and sold videos was better, but then ROH got delusions of grandeur and tried to get to big, which was a flop. TNA loses $ every time they hold a pay per view or a house show, so TNA should just stop doing those. TNA can not be saved, but it may linger
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 TNA buys are not confirmed idiot, and even if it's true that they did 7,500 once, you can't assume they get that every PPV. It can go from 7,000 to 17,000, 15,000 to 25,000, etc.
iWcKiller 6 months ago
@iWcKiller TNA buy rates are publicly CONFIRMED by the pay per view providers, former TNA employees, the dirt sheets and sites, and wrestlers who know people in TNA. TNA has never disputed, much less sued, any of there parties that divulge their terrible buy rates, which means they are TRUE. PROVE with VERIFIABLE FACTS that your beloved TNA does more than the 7,500 buys multiple sources revealed TNA to be doing or else shut the hell up. Now, you are owned, punked, and done on this topic here.
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 "TNA buy rates are publicly CONFIRMED"
lol, stopped reading after that because it was a completely false and a stupid statement
iWcKiller 6 months ago
@bighustle your a fucking mark, TNA is doing great business right now
iWcKiller 6 months ago
@iWcKiller I think you're misinterpreting me. I never said TNA was doing horrible business. But if they aren't doing as well on ppv as they'd like, I'm simply offering alternative ideas that'll have them save money. Again, it costs a lot less to put on an iPPV than it does a regular PPV. Besides that, TNA needs to keep trying to build their brand. No one wrestler is gonna turn that company around because TNA isn't branded as synonymous with "wrestling" in the US. No diss.
bighustle 6 months ago
@bighustle you don't know the PPV revenue, you don't have a clue. You say "turn around" as if this company is struggling financially, which it isn't. Your just another mark like I said
iWcKiller 6 months ago
@iWcKiller listen you angry nerd, I'm didn't come on here to insult you or TNA. But you're right. I don't know what the turnaround is for TNA ppvs. But I'm pretty sure you don't either. What I DO know, is that running PPV is more expensive than running iPPV. What I DO know is that its been reported numerous times that TNA ppv numbers are low as fuck and Dixie was considering cutting back on them at one point. So I'm simply suggesting a cost effective alternative. That's it. Now fuck off.
bighustle 6 months ago
@bighustle lol, It's been "reported by some idiot that goes by the name of Dave Meltzer, who just so happens to be a TNA hater. That guy is not a legitimate source with TNA buys because he does not work for TNA and has nothing to do with it. He makes shit up, and idiots like you feed into it. TNA is an established company, so your iPPV nonsense is retarded. They do that already, but they would never use that as a one and only default
iWcKiller 5 months ago
@bighustle The "angry nerd" description was totally accurate of that iWcKiller moron and is a generally good term for the TNA marks on You Tube. They all get emo, whining, and butt hurt when ever the facts about TNA are brought out because they have no facts or proof on their side. You would think they have $ invested in that TNA sinking ship the way they start flaming and crying when TNA gets punked out. The fans of TNA are such scum bags that I would not watch TNA even if TNA improved 1000%
MRobert21 5 months ago
@iWcKiller I wasted too much time owning and punking your dumb butt on this video already, so this is my last word defeating and mocking you on this video here before I ignore you after this, you flaming smark troll. You are the MARK as you blindly believe anything anti McMahon or that TNA tells you. PROVE with VERIFIABLE FACTS that TNA is doing great business right now or else ZIP IT because YOU LOSE. I can prove McMahon is making big $ right now because he publicly provides the proof of it.
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 I like WWE just as much as like TNA you dumbass. Funny how you idiots don't comprehend that people can actually enjoy more than one company stupid bitch. That pretty much buries your pathetic comment, go away retard
iWcKiller 5 months ago
(cont'd) It's basically reverting back to what Raw and the WWE was in the mid 90s except with the luxury of not having competition on the same night. W/ the new method of doing TV they'll be able to make money on the road, save money by NOT going live, save money by NOT doing huge arenas that they can only fill half of, all while continuing to build their brand comfortably on Thursdays. With the iPPV, they need to find a way to do it exclusively through their website though that maybe tricky
bighustle 6 months ago
@bighustle TNA needs to tape their television in the tiny Universal Studios Florida studio because it is the cheapest way to produce television and TNA can not draw crowds any way. TNA needs to just be a television series as long as Spike is willing to pay for it. TNA can sell videos and merchandise, but it needs to give up on the dream of live event tours, pay per views, and all the other areas McMahon dominates in. TNA needs to cut the big $ salaries that are not drawing and simplify business
MRobert21 6 months ago
@MRobert21 I don't buy into that. They draw in NY because they market the shit out of their shows. Along with doing scaling down the size of the buildings they run house shows in, they need to focus on marketing themselves and actually promoting their house shows. ROH may do jack shit on iPPV, but that doesn't mean TNA will do the same numb
