I was miffed they show everyone's "day jobs" but mine (CXB)... I'm an award-winning musician / writer / cartoonist etc! I've toured the world as a MUSICIAN, but this film reduced me to ONLY an "obsessive activist". Sigh. There's some really good stuff in the film though.
saying this is more of the same is oversimplifying & unfair. There are plenty of variables that differ between these guys & the "white males" you refer to: they're not rich/high-class, they don't wear suits nor a tie, speech writers do not prepare their every word, they don't advertise on TV, they have no campaign office, they don't answer to corporate interests/lobbyists...
So, much is different-just not their skin pigmentation.
Housing for one poor person in NYC costs more than $1000 per month. You can keep five poor people in Houston or Indianapolis for the same price and even less in the countryside. It makes no sense to pay poor people to live in the most expensive city on earth.
Why not support an entire African village rather than squandering money on your "outreach" programmes? That would be more green, because Africans have a smaller carbon footprint.
Do you want to be Sarah Pailin's daughter? Don't you think you're a bit too old for this kind of stuff? I seriously don't think a woman in her 40s can get pregnant that easily.
Don't you realise that NYU and Columbia are great universities? The New School has fantastic designers. Cooper Union is producing great engineers. These institutions contribute to NYC just by being there.
NYC is one of the most expensive cities on earth. It makes no sense to subsidise poor people to live there.

Good point, BUT-
