is this real?, I mean, I don't think this can be a hack because it looks like the original SM3 but I find something strange here... just listen to the effect sounds, the bombs, when mario jumps, when he goes into a pipe etc, I played this game on NES and Game Boy and I know the effects can't sound like that... No, like dave said. A computer was used to slow down the frame rate so he could have the super human reflexes. So as they were doing this, it took alot longer then 11 mins to finish.
for anyone who doesnt know this was done in an editor so if/when they screwed up they could just repeat it instantly, thus creating a flawless play through that probably took quite a bit longer than 11 mins

thats no emulator. watch the time, the speed of the rotating coins, the audio/video synchronization, the speed of enemies. its all perfect, nothing too fast. the further you get in the game, the faster time runs out. this is perfect.

This is a speed run done on an emulator, also known as "Tool Assisted." Check http://www.archive.org/details/speed_runs for more information. Idiots.
This is not a fake. It is a) The main development computer video, or b) a man on an emulator. I'm fairly sure that it is done on ZNES as that emulator has the option to record what you have done in the game. There are no cheats on it as all the moves done are to the limit of gameplay. I took a week trying to recreate this and I was able to do the first level exactly the same. With enough dedication, I can guarantee this is possible.

no its possible to beat it in 8 minutes , the only long levels are the world 8 stages, but the warp trick can be done in the original , and yes , this is an emulator
yeah its a real video, the guy who made it said how he did it on a forum and it was using an emulator with constant game saves, despite that its still amazing.
I saw this video a long time ago and it's actually a guy on an emulator playing the game ONE FRAME AT A TIME. This 11 minute video took weeks (if not months) to complete.) Everything in this video can be pulled off but is near impossible on normal run-through without any 'special' assistance.
All in all it is still a VERY impressive video and manages to shed new light on a video-game classic.

thats no emulator. watch the time, the speed of the rotating coins, the audio/video synchronization, the speed of enemies. its all perfect, nothing too fast. the further you get in the game, the faster time runs out. this is perfect.

i agree with the ppl who said it was a emulator thx to ExtremeRyno, but still it's still pretty cool watching someone who beats a game in less time as it takes to get ready for work when it takes someone at least 1 to 2 hours to beat. ^_^

This is not a fake. It is a) The main development computer video, or b) a man on an emulator. I'm fairly sure that it is done on ZNES as that emulator has the option to record what you have done in the game. There are no cheats on it as all the moves done are to the limit of gameplay. I took a week trying to recreate this and I was able to do the first level exactly the same. With enough dedication, I can guarantee this is possible.

no its possible to beat it in 8 minutes , the only long levels are the world 8 stages, but the warp trick can be done in the original , and yes , this is an emulator

I saw this video a long time ago and it's actually a guy on an emulator playing the game ONE FRAME AT A TIME. This 11 minute video took weeks (if not months) to complete.) Everything in this video can be pulled off but is near impossible on normal run-through without any 'special' assistance.
All in all it is still a VERY impressive video and manages to shed new light on a video-game classic.
