I'm out hiking all the time. I never leave anything but foot prints. I couldn't even leave those on your rocky eroded beaches. Don't worry about me being back- life is too short to return to places that suck!

I love Emerald Isle,NC!!!!!! I go on vacation there every summer! I don't understand how anyone couldn't like it......unless they don't like beaches. P.S. LOVE the little boy with the thumbs up!

But at least you got beaches. I live in a town about the size of EI in TN and I'm 700 miles away from a beach talk about boring!

Don't get me wrong-a week at the beach in EI was great. Perfect weather there in early june etc. But there's so many better choices than EI. It was worth the week but life is short and there's other beaches I aint walked on yet.EI was worth a one time but not memorable enough to do again.

Just came from there---terrible beach erosion,no places to eat or shop. Won't be back.

@seymourbbest there are way too many beach homes for such a small strip of isle. and ur right...there are not many places to really shop or eat until you reach atlantic beach. and then pickings are slim...local seafood and bojangles. hmmm

@crystalcoastmediagrp I agree. I live in Michigan with my daughter and as soon as she graduates we are moving to the crystal coast. You guys have a 3 day seafood festival there. We had a ice festival here today and it was so cold and boring.

I loved this place, I've been to both oceans, grew up in SoCal, I must say that the North Carolineans are way more laid back. I had to drive 110 miles from Ft Bragg to get there every weekend I wasn't on duty, I can't believe that was 30 years ago. My favorite thing was riding the same wave as porpoises, and when the hurricane waves cranked at 25to30ft in sets of 7 or more, broke at 3-400yards past the pier, at 1:35 secs.
