If the batter sac bunts then there is no reason to throw it to second base because the first base runner already knows its a bunt and will be so close to second before anyone can field the ball that the only play will be at first. Fail.

@dailga yeah I guess so but the shortstop can help out with that too. But there are advantages and disadvantages to wherever u choose to position yourself. You just have to take a risk and do what's comfortable for you.

Why would u ever want to play deep? U have a shorter throw when u play up and generally the runner will have less time to run down the line. Unless ur just a pussy and ur scared of the ball of course!

playin shallow is such an advantage playin 3rd well for me at least. i get the bunts faster, get the ball quicker, the bal doesnt hit the rim of the grass and throw is easier. its funny wen amateurs play so deep =P
