These are my all time favorite Lincoln's, I remember in High School 1977 thru 1979 I used to visit Lynch Lincoln Mercury and see the Mark V in the showroom and upstairs in the storage lot on the roof. An incredible time and the last and best of the Mark series. I always wanted to own a Mark V, next week I am buying a 79 Collectors Series Mark V. I dont care about gas mileage, this is luxury and prestige at its best.
You have to drive something with less overhang at the rear. Still looks tough though.
How do you manage to keep the garage from floading in rainstorms? We tried that once at my parents house, even though their driveway wasn't nearly this steep.
Have you ever considered tilting the floor in the garage, by raising the floor at the opening of the gate? It does require a safe drain along the inner wall.
I do hate the driveway!!! All my cars are big and the driveway is always a challange. I usually use boards to back out without scccraping. There's a drain at the bottom of the driveway that catches all the rain water - so the garage doesn't fload. The driveway makes me want to sell the house and move - but the housing market needs to come back before I can sell the house. Oh well. Thanks for the comment!
nice Lincoln Mark... I had a 78 Continental Town Car i got off my uncle a few years ago.... ended up selling it since I had no garage to keep it... Was a sweet car, just not practical.... Beautiful Stang in the driveway!!
Too bad you had to sell your 78'. These cars are not practical, but I don't drive them much since I have two newer commute cars - 08' mustang and 05' town car. Thanks for the comment on the cars!
@shane970 I had a 79 Continental Sedan before the 78, I bought it to turn a little profit... I still miss both of those, and yes they aren't practical but still were lots of fun to drive around.. I had an 06 Mustang GT I enjoyed for a while, but wasn't that practical for anyone but one person to ride along... (too cramped in the back)... Still enjoyed that car tho - torque and a 5-speed!! Oh and you're welcome for the comments - hope you post more in the future!!
@biglinc1 I understand turning a profit since I had 18 cars a year or two ago and now I'm down to less than half that - I'm keeping only the cars that I love. I like your taste in cars! Mustang is the FUN car - it's a "bullet" edition - 5-speed, 4.6L 315hp. The back seats are useless, except keeps insurance rate down and holds a couple bags of groceries. I have yet to post videos of the Mustang.
I have a couple videos I need to edit and I'll have more car stuff soon. Thanks!!!
@shane970 ah man, i'd love to see some of your 'Stang videos... I loved mine, but I keep telling myself if I don't stop buying cars, one of these days I'm gonna end up homeless "living" inside of one of mine!! haha... I'm considering selling my F150 and buying either a silverado or another F150 with automatic... Manuals are fun, but being my dd, by time I finish with traffic my left leg is almost sore from pushing that clutch in and out so many times. lol
@biglinc1 I think the big lincs are practicle in some ways if you dont drive much, I think they are good a choice as a first car as opposed to a honda or something similar since insurance is so cheap on these beasts
@coldplays179 for sure... The big Linc's, Grand Marquis and Crown vics are really cheap on insurance due to the size, and IMO the mpg isn't that bad considering they have a 4.6L v8, and the linc's come with side airbags from around 01 or 02+.... They're also really dependable and durable as well, compared to hondas, toyotas and other small cars
thats a wonderful car man! I would love to own one someday!

Hi,man. I like to drive barefoot! Very good sensation! Always you drive barefoot you car?
crosley72 1 year ago
@crosley72 Hi. Not really about the sensation. More lazy to put on shoes after cleaning the car in flip flops.

@shane970 Thank'you for reply. I am Italian barefooter, and like to walk barefoot, and like drive barefoot.

Yikes, another gallon or 2 of gas in the tank and it would have scraped. Tough driveway. Does the Squire scrape when backing out of the garage?
alstojm 1 year ago
@alstojm That's the truth! I hate the driveway. The squire does scrape - so I have to put boards down to keep it from sccccccccccraping.

Nice cars! but, isn't it a bit uncomfortable to drive barefooted?
CDTbossy 1 year ago
@CDTbossy LOL!!! more comfortable than with flip flops - had to take them off to drive.
Thanks about the cars!
