To everyone upset about what the lady said; if you had watched the rest of the show you wouldn't be so offended. Mayer was "acting" upset because it was a comedy show and they were just throwing out sarcastic comments. He actually had a seat with the "panel" earlier, and threw out a few of his own at them. It was all in good fun and he was happy to be part of it. Sarcastic humor is easily misconstrued when taken out of context... and it has been in this case.

Dave Matthews is a real nice guy and his music is awesome, but by his own admission in Guitar Magazine several years ago, he is not a good guitar player.

On the other hand, John Mayer explores many scales up and down the neck of the guitar and is clearly a better guitar player. Dave Matthews has a band behind playing rhythm and lead guitar. John Mayer doesn't. He just has a bassist and a drummer behind him. I prefer the singer/songwriter approach of John Mayer.
