Hey Simon and Martina! I'm pretty sure you're aware, but many Korean franchises have been entering North America over the past few years. I'm from NYC, and I see Paris Baguette et al. all over the tri-state area. Although I am Korean and grew up eating Korean food, I agree that Korean pastries are odd. I guess it's the Westerner in me....I find it mind-boggling to find cold hotdogs in a sweet bun....or slathering of corn....or even sweetness on savory breads. Looks are deceiving!
