Pavarotti is the best opera singer of all time but, SHOCK HORROR, he doesn't know microphone technique (Neither should he). The sound technician was having kittens.

I was referring to both. I dont know of Leone Magiera so I cant comment. What I would like to say, however, is that in my mind a musical performance is a combination of aesthetic details and musical elements to create a whole. As such, this recording is a disappointment. I might be willing to concede that it is mealy recording quality and a further degradation here on YouTube.

If you knew ANYTHING about Pavarotti, you would know Leone. They worked together his entire life. He was married to the great Mirella Freni. Duh. So you ARE NOT an expert here & everyone knows it. Just looking for Pav videos to dis. *Yawn*

Not the best recording ever. What a horrible piano and Pavarotti is all over the place. It's a shame he had to become so commercial. Still, his fantastic voice shines through in places despite the setting and his attire. Thank goodness there are recordings of him singing this at his best.

Horrible piano? Do you mean the color of it or the sound? Leone Magiera is a great pianist and also a sing teacher. You must feel the music instead of aesthetic details.
