  • you guys are going to kill this engine that way. you got alot of fucking air in that engine bleed it completly

  • Dayeum!!

  • hi i have some question. my w123 200 always fail of tuning co.

every time i top up full tank of petrol early morning difficult to start up the engine. if the engine start running will come a bit black smoke.let the car warm up 2min then ok and smooth. if the petrol less very easy to start the engine .

  • What year is this lovely Cadillac??

  • 10 years!? looks really fresh! mine stood 3 years outside and only with new battery it fired up in one second and thats no exaggeration! yours looks like it stood inside though. :P

  • @coolakiIlen007 Buddy .. the car broke down 10 years ago the boss had the parts and for also that long and I came along and build the engine put the trans back in it and break system overhaul.... it was resurrected (with new parts) ...

  • @coolakiIlen007 yeah mine stood outside for 8 and half years and fired up with no issues. of course after 4 days the diesel fuel cloged all the filters and what forth then i had to take out the fuel tank clean it then put mineral spirits in the supply and return line and blow it with compressed air that took the shit out.

  • @aaronpourazar Glad i didnt had that problem. ;) Nice to hear of more people taking care of these cars!

  • Be careful cranking the fuel pump dry or you could ruin it as the diesel fuel aids in lubrication and don"t crank so long or you gonna burn out that starter.next time crack a fuel injector line to help purge some air or prime the pump per manufacturer specs. Nice car btw I love the old 200 series. I own a 220d I'm rebuilding the motor on, great cars nearly bulletproof motors.

  • @unicronalpha the pump can't be run dry. There is a prime hand pump that has to lift to the main injection pump, because the lift pump by it self can't create suction, as far as the starter I GUARANTEE you the battery will die before this starter smokes out ...

    PS: cool a 220 I assume in a w115 chassis

  • Mercedes-Benz engines may take a long sleep, but they NEVER die.

Not only is the 240D a fantastic workhorse but when coupled with a W123, you have a complete, automotive masterpiece.

Without ANY doubt, this series of Mercedes-Benz were the GREATEST vehicles to EVER hit this planet.

  • @EssexBoy696969 this one took a hit not a sleep the #1 piston disintegrated and got rebuild. most of the parts are new like pistons one new rod cylinder head is total valve job to new spec ...btw this engine has allready 30 000 miles on it since

  • Awesome, any engine cleaning tips? I'm about to pull my 240d engine and hopefully resurrect one, but it probably wont be as nice as yours. Great color.

  • @Hrothulf19 Hi there ... I got one. Collect all the hardware that u take of the out side of the engine bolts, nuts, brackets and injector lines and send them of for zinc plating it is inexpensive and looks good. Use lots of degrease :) (not the head bolts )

  • Always nice to see another one brought back to life. Congrats! :)

  • Some jackass jenk fuck up a fine european car.

  • This car was properly fixed and we took allot of pride putting this car together engine and so on ... there was no fuck ups pall

  • We did. But we found out that the timing was off somewhat. The corect timing fixed the problem with the starting.

  • did you prime the IP first before cranking?
