I keep encountering people (mostly Americans) who think their own cuddly niceness of which they are so certain is enough to bring to the table. I've met so many who want to jump on my lifeboat without even a paddle to get to it! The excuses as to why they've wasted years without any preparing or planning are uniform. It's as though I'm speaking to the SAME LOSER, again & again. This is my fifth major recession. Sorry you're no longer posting. Be well, the wind always at your back!

You said you think it's manmade global warming but for the most part doesn't involve cars. Ok, I will say that it's not cars specifically but pollution in general. We have had controlling the weather from H.A.R.P(look it up on youtube) and also screwing around w/ it through chemtrails(look that up also). And perhaps you have forgotten about the 2012 event involving the earth meeting the center of the milky way.

P.S:Me I'm going to worry about having a roof over my head and being mentally sound.

It is always good to hear your opinions. The global warming issue I believe is overrated, but that does not mean there are major changes happening with the climate/oceans not caused by man. It is a ruse for politicians to use as a power grab, enforce their depop agenda & force you to use toxic cfl bulbs, & new monitoring equipment to track & tax everything you do and everywhere you go. It is the playing with the hamster in the cage model. Do what we say or we will "shoot you in the face."

Jeff I am an American that immigrated to the United Kingdom 4 many reasons. Here you buy a house and it is yours. Here there is no property taxes. Here you have National Health Care. Free Medicine. @CookenWithKilla ~The economy started to fall in late 2007 when credit cards started getting maxed out and home lines of credit became more difficult. I see that beginning in Canada now. 80% of Canada's trade is with the US, and the US is hurting badly.

I didn't realized that so many people owed more than their houses were worth. My current house has doubled in value in the past several years. So I guess it is all in being careful where you buy and what you pay, and so many people will finance as much as they can and then take out home equity lines on top of that. With prices dropping, in my opinion it is a good time to buy, just have to be carefly where you go and what you buy and pay.

Jeff, why do you insist on silver? Wouldn't gold be a better choice? Problem with silver is that it's widely used in industry. So if economy will go down, production will go down, and demand for silver will drop, which could result in lowering the prices of this asset. I think gold is a way to go. You don't need to buy 1kg gold bars, you can buy coins which are affordable.

I agree that real estate has at least 20% downside to go before the correction is over. Sure there are exceptions. It's all dependent on the location, but wages are still too low to support current home prices.

In1996 I bought my first & only new car, a 96 Impala SS. In 97 I lost my job of 10+ years due to NAFTA. I had enough cash on hand not to work for a few years & didn't, I did car shows & traveled. Now in 99 I was forced to withdrawal my 401K, it was close to $120K. I knew I was 2 pay early withdrawal,penalty & taxes, I did. I was cut a check for $76K at the end of 99 the IRS sent me another tax bill! I was dbl taxed & basically lost 60% of that401K

Cont: Long story short, I was doing good til NAFTA (Clinton) many of us were. The IRS are thieves just as the FRB. The climate is whacked, we should focus on defense not offense(wars).We should cut all monies to foreign governments, higher tax on ppl that earn over $750K. Find & deport ALL illegal workers, quit giving big corporations tax breaks & bailouts. I want to respect & love my Country again but I think that love is lost forever.

I sold silver (made"money" on it) to buy my Vanagon Camper and i felt super guilty doing it. In the last year I also set aside 4-ish months of food for myself and 4 other people. I looked at it as insurance. I know and work around 100's of people- know of less than a handful of "insured" people. Montana is doing better than most places. Also, I will make my youtube video debut a Westy Cooking/lifestyle video in the next few weeks.
