This is a strange production...good because there's no distraction with the simple location, set and costumes. The crowd's actions during the drinking song is a little weird but I got used to them. Jonas is very convincing as a fresh-faced, inexperienced, naive and a little bit stupid Alfredo. Schafer isn't convincing as a great beauty who attracted Alfredo so ardently, but her singing is good. I love the entire video of this Traviata.

LE metteur en scène s'est surement enfilé trois ou quatre bouteilles de whisky avant de se lancer dans cette piètre "mise en scène". De toute façon je ne peux qu'être négatif étant donné que je n'apprécie guère le fait de remixer de tels opéras

I saw a better version in Berlin, live on stage, with Vittorio Grigolo und Ciofi. Much better.
More pace and better inscenation. But Kaufmann is a good singter, too.
