You'll regret it profoundly some day if you don't." Old man was right, I'm glad I kept at it because I love making music. I started from practicing piano a lot, and got some nice software to do it digitally. I can't recommend any cheap software because I don't know of any that aren't expensive. Check your PM

This kind of amazing music doesn't deserve to be trampled down under the footsteps of a children's show that is to be forgotten in the next few years.
You should climb up the ladder a bit. You'll eventually have hundreds of thousands of views and people will be urging you on to create more.

I doubt I could get an anchor on the industry without having much musical literacy, and it doesn't help that to learn it I'd have to juggle it with animation and illustration training to boot. I'm sure I'm capable of doing both, just not at the same time.
So hobby it is for now, at least as a hobby I still get to do it for fun.
@makkon06 I keep wanting to reply to this, but I'm never sure what to say. After having thought about it...yes, it is a hobby, but you do have a real talent. Your music absolutely deserves to be heard. I believe you could earn some serious money for yourself. You've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you completely understand the theory behind the music--listening to your songs is testament enough. Learning to translate them to notes on paper is probably easier than you think. :)

After listening to "Impressions of Celestia Origins" so many times, I knew exactly what this song was building up to. Even so, I wasn't prepared for the sheer grandness as it got there, more slowly than the original but sounding so much fuller.
I've got the stupidest grin on my face right now from this song. One thumbs up is not enough.

I think with this kind of genre, while incredibly awesome, will HAVE to start sounding like itself if enough of it is made. There's only so much "total originality" with a genre like this, imo.
@MrImdgreatest I think it's fairly possible that you're right. There's always a chance of it becoming reminiscent of something else, no matter how hard you might try to avoid it. Most of them are created following the same basic (theoretical) rules, after all.
The original Celestia Origins remix is one of my favorite songs ever (and therefore I prefer it), but this one is REALLY good too. Downloading right now! ^_^
Not much more to say than by the time :30 seconds rolled around, the song was favorited and I sat back in my chair and just ABSORBED this beautiful sound, casting such a beautiful spell over me.

If you define "deviant" as a sexually confused, malformed, outcast from society, you couldn't be more wrong. You are horribly predjudiced and your "comment" is not appreciated. @IXITHELEGEND2 Wow, thank you! TBH, this is probably more of a hobby for me than anything. I doubt I could get an anchor on the industry without having much musical literacy, and it doesn't help that to learn it I'd have to juggle it with animation and illustration training to boot. I'm sure I'm capable of doing both, just not at the same time.
So hobby it is for now, at least as a hobby I still get to do it for fun.

@makkon06 I keep wanting to reply to this, but I'm never sure what to say. After having thought about it...yes, it is a hobby, but you do have a real talent. Your music absolutely deserves to be heard. I believe you could earn some serious money for yourself. You've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you completely understand the theory behind the music--listening to your songs is testament enough. Learning to translate them to notes on paper is probably easier than you think. :)

After listening to "Impressions of Celestia Origins" so many times, I knew exactly what this song was building up to. Even so, I wasn't prepared for the sheer grandness as it got there, more slowly than the original but sounding so much fuller.
I've got the stupidest grin on my face right now from this song. One thumbs up is not enough.

@MrImdgreatest Well, he's probably been heavily inspired by all kinds of movie soundtracks like this, and it's no surprise that his work may sound a tad like some other artists. I think with this kind of genre, while incredibly awesome, will HAVE to start sounding like itself if enough of it is made. There's only so much "total originality" with a genre like this, imo.
Doesn't make this any less awesome. :)

@MrImdgreatest I think it's fairly possible that you're right. There's always a chance of it becoming reminiscent of something else, no matter how hard you might try to avoid it. Most of them are created following the same basic (theoretical) rules, after all.

In all seriousness, though, I love what you've done with the piece. The way you've altered the rhythm now makes it reminiscent of movies like Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings.
