Another B-Side discovery. What a great track -- especially the ending with that great high vocals & smooth "ooooh I'm in love" ending. The Shangri-Las were incredible. Ahead of their time by the sheer seriousness of their b-sides & obscure songs: Dressed In Black, Love You More Than Yesterday, The Sweet Sounds of Summer, Out in the Streets, I Can Never Go Home Anymore. This was not fluff. Ladies..I respect your music. I am a Procol Harum admirer. I've listened to heavy stuff...you qualify.
@staghorny I love it also, when she narrates the song, I feel it all through, makes me think of travelling back in time to a 1960's prom, and dancing with that guy I always dreamed of.
beautiful!

This sounds like Betty singing! I think she did "Maybe" too! She has that dreamy sound to her voice that just sends my head up to the clouds.

IMO, their best. The last 45 seconds are unlike anything I've ever heard. Wonderful.
