@AmricanEagl For many pop songs, if you want to sound like the recording of a band, you're going to end up tuning to them. Pop music divorced itself from standard pitch a long time ago. This song starts in D, so you can tune your D string to the intro and then the rest of your strings according to that.
I get great inspiration to keep plugging away at my guitar from you and people like you.Thank god for you tube if it wasnt for the many resources online I think I would have hung it up by now.But I have come so far now I will never quit .How about doing back in 72 by Bob Seger I love the riff in that song.Thank you very much
How do you do it man! I mean do you learn these by ear,do you read music? How do you pick your songs?Anyway I wish I could play half as well as you I have been playing for three years and I think it will take me 20 years to get as good as you.
PS: more lessons please the ones that you do are great!
Very impressive!! I enjoy your choice of songs and really enjoy watching you play, you make it look so effortless! I hope to learn more by watching you play! Great job!
I am so impressed that you seem to pick out a song's key and progression so easily. I can rarely do it, and only then accidentally. I guess ya got it, or ya don't.
have you changed the tuning of your strings? cause i do what you do but it doesn't sound like your guitar!!

Nice job! I have the DVD set of 'The Midnight Special'...Have you ever tried learning the fingerpicked original arrangement?
garbeaj 1 year ago
@garbeaj I don't think I've ever heard the fingerpicked version.

@privettricker I'm referring to the original album version...there is a fingerpicking pattern on it.

@phy51cal5earch Eventually, you'll be able to figure a lot of songs out in your head before you even pick up the guitar. Just stick with it.
