Nice Idea... I'm sure it would sound nice if you used a different melody for the Horns when the singing starts. There's many harmonic stuff to find and to add, many voices and not only one.
Yeah as I look back on it I do think that the horns sound corny. I wish I had a jampack or something with either better horns or non trumpet maybe french or something. But yeah, the intro was the main focus and the rest was add on but I did my best! And I still love the origional song, and seeing Ensiferum play it right before "The longest Journey" was so epic. Hopefully seeing them for the 4th time this coming january!
@nassesgrasrecords Thanks man I appreciate that! When I made this I was pretty new to Garageband and playing keyboard in general. Im still learning as time goes on but I definately see what you mean and how that would sound great. Im seriously thinking of doing another one lol.
hey really good song, I created a song similar to this, with the horns, rock kit, fingerstyle bass, and a different loop then you were using, but the drums I did were a bit different so yeah, but keep making the good music!
The marching drums are a bit much, a rowing-esque tom pattern would have worked better (you know, imagine a guy smacking a drum in a longboat and shouting "ROW YOU WHORES!"), I feel your pain with the garageband instruments though! Get the orchestral jam pack, it's so worth it.
Thanks man! Yeah, I did the whole thing using Garage band with a midi keyboard, and the horns really don't sound so great. I actually kinda regret putting them in as much as I did.
*fucking.

Pretty good arrangement here though, nice one. :)

Yeah, the horns were a little high on the Cheese meter, but appart from that, it sounded great!

It definitely is interesting. I like it.
The music kinda gives it a Christmas-Musical feel to it. lol

This is interesting, the intro is nice. Musically it fits, just wish you had a better program to make the horn sounds with.
